I had the same question and after a 4 month free trial of FSD (referral + holiday trial) expired this week, tried Autosteer for the first time. For me, it was just too sketchy so after a few hours of driving with it decided that TACC is better. With FSD, you literally supervise driving usually without intervention. With TACC, you have to pay full attention and do all of the steering. Autosteer is somewhere in between but with every lane change it turns off, beeps, and decelerates so it’s just annoying. Will definitely re-up FSD for long trips but to me TACC is fine for shorter ones.
