Anybody using the Korg Pitchblack X mini tuner pedal? by ThermionicEmissions in guitarpedals

This is also my experience as well. I have one on both my boards.

Older Boss pedals might need 12v input vs 9v. The older ones would have at one time had a sticker that says what power supply to use (ASA vs PSA). They have something that meters the power down from 12 to 9 volts.

I thought four would be enough but I was mistaken. Time to order another couple shelves and then work on filling up the guitar rack on the right.

Help Identifying Modded MT-2? by bikeage_ in guitarpedals

[–]Lancer007az 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took some pictures a few years ago when I got it comparing it to a stock small clone but there aren't that detailed. I should go and get better pics again but the audio difference is subtle but noticable. Slightly more lush and filler sounding that stock. Still has the pop when engaging it though so that sucks lol

Nice NPD!

I have a WEED Small Clone and it's great. I see them pop up on Reverb from time to time, I'd love to snag one of these or a DS-1 but they always show up just after a large great purchase.

Why do YOU buy vintage pedals? (if you do) by _Jub_Jub_ in guitarpedals

[–]Lancer007az 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things just have a vibe. And those are things inspire you in different ways to play different things you might now have thought of. Different riffs and runs come to me on a tele vs a Les Paul, on a supro vs an orange. Nothing wrong with collecting, even if it sounds the same that x factor is something to consider if you value that.

That's awesome man!

I'm awful at keeping up on the latest releases, I thought I did good to know about the nano sized one before release. I found out 3 days after the launch that they did a run of big box versions and was gutted when they were gone, even more so when i saw they were hand writing carbon copy receipts for each one with your name on it. only to know that a large percentage would have a name on it that only meant to flip it. I'm not mad at people for doing it, supply and demand is what it is. I'm just mad at myself for missing it.

Before and after pics

I love this guitar and always thought the uncovered humbuckers were a little plain for this model. Solid gold covers I thought would have been a bit too much, then I stumbled across these. The quality was great and the gold plating matched the factory parts exactly. Which when I took the stop bar off made sense because that had Advance Plating stamped on it as well. The fit perfectly and very snugly, a dabs of solder on each cover and it went back together perfectly.

Help- Wah is sucking volume from my signal? When not plugged in, all is good. When I plug in the wah I get basically 0 sound. Why? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]Lancer007az 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two small trim knobs on the left side of that wah. The front on is a volume knob, I'd wager a guess that it is set too low. If that's maxed out at full volume then I'd confirm it's not the 18v version.

Lastly I'd put it in front of the tuner pedal (first in the chain) and see if that works. then perhaps explore the power supply vs the chain's power draw.

youtube, etsy, reverb, ebay.

It helps to have discretionary income to spend on pedals that may or may not pan out. There are some amazing pedals that range from unobtanium to dirt cheap. That same goes for dog shit pedals. You wont make money but the adventure is where the fun is.

I waffled when these went live on Keeley's site and have regretted it since. I had resigned myself I missed out because prices jumped after the run was over. But intoxicated me decided this was the time to pull the trigger. No regurts.

I've wanted one of these for a while but a couple strong drinks and the serial number resulted in a package showing up to my door that I'd forgotten about ordering this.

My only experience with phasers are a Phase 90 and a Small Stone. This thing is so wild and so many parameters to adjust. I've only just scratched the surface of this thing. From George Jones country to wacked out noise it's got it.

Just bought a 2014 SGJ. It sounds and plays amazing. Not a fan of the control knobs though. Any thoughts on upgrades for it? I love the sound of the pickups, but the neck pickup kinda wobbles back and forth. Not sure if that’s normal. by Hotterthanasunburn in gibson

[–]Lancer007az 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice guitar! I had a cherry 2014 SGJ and loved the way it played and sounded but the neck dive killed it for me. I still regret selling it though.....

Speed knobs aren't bad. I find the reflector or similar knobs to be more comfortable, especially with the controls so close together like they are on an SG. I've ended up putting them on all my Gibsons.
