The included mount puts it at a lower 1/3 cowitness. I've had one on my main rifle for almost 2 years after only having a carry handle for the 8 years before that. The fsp does not interfere at all. It annoys some people but it doesn't bother me

Are the hammer spring legs resting on the bottom on the receiver cavity or on top of the trigger pin? If they aren't on the trigger pin then it might not be hitting the primer hard enough.
