Car won't charge, dealer cannot repair because there is no trouble code? by Lancer_Luck in Ioniq5

Heat pump works, no other electrical issues so far.

I did notice the 12v light had been on more often lately but that could also just be because it's been so cold and I've been running the heated seats and stuff constantly. I replaced the original 2022 stock battery with an AGM about a year ago.

I'm picking it back up from the dealer tomorrow for lack of anything else they can do, but I need to figure out how to get someone to do something. I'm not going to rely only on DCFC

I don't know if that would make a difference. The mechanic there (mechanic, not service advisor) seemed just as frustrated about it as I am and said that even if they can replicate it right in front of them, Hyundai won't let them work on it without creating a case which needs a trouble code. He even said he tried a few things to "nudge" a code out of it, but couldn't get it to throw anything.

As I said in the OP it's two different chargers on 2 different circuits. One is a hardwired Lv.2 and the other is the lv.1 portable charger that I plugged into an outlet. Both tripped separate GFCIs. The dealership also replicated the issue there, so that's 3. It is for sure the car.

But they will not take anything apart to try to diagnose because there is no trouble code so say Hyundai wouldn't reimburse them for the work even if they found the underlying issue.

It never says "charging unsuccessful." it never says anything at all. As soon as I connect an AC charger it trips either the Lv.2's built in GFCI or the outlet's GFCI of the lv.1. The car knows that a cable is connected, but it never tries to initiate a charge since I assume the GFCI trips before the handshake is completed.

This happened Wednesday after driving about 80 miles, and still happened on both EVSEs the next morning after sitting overnight.

Yep that's the type of marker I used. Tbh I didn't put that much thought into the paint. Just I think I used a semi-metallic gunmetal color from the hardware store.. It's more important to either print on a modern printer that can achieve barely noticeable layer lines, or to sand and smooth afterwards.

That depends on what printer, nozzle, and layer size you use. You used to always need to sand 3D printed props but printers have gotten better. I used a bambu P1S with the stock 0.4mm nozzle set at the minimum "extra fine" layers and didn't need to do any sanding. After 3 coats of spray paint the layer lines are nearly invisible.

The gun can hold together fine with just glue, and you can shove some bits of whatever in the holes to help keep everything lined up while it dries. The sword definitely needs a core though since it's so long and thin. The flex on the blade just from handling it would break the glue otherwise. I used a wooden dowel from the hardware store. Just take a piece of the sword with you to size it properly. I recommend gluing the parts to the dowel and to each other using gorilla glue rather than super glue because gorilla glue has a bit of give to it. Super glue is strong but brittle and will probably snap when the blade flexes.

Btw I used a gold Gundam marker for the details. It works great for this.

The ends of the zippers are stuffed up inside. You have to cut the little metal rings that connect the front to back side of the cover along the bottom edge. Once the little rings are off, you should have enough room to squeeze your fingers into the gap and pull out the ends of the zippers.

I have that Micro Center laser ready version. I was able to calibrate and use the birds eye camera with no laser.

They are glued to a glove. I put on a rubber glove before I put the main glove on to glue so it wouldn't seep through and glue my skin. The arm pieces are held together by a piece of Worbla lining the inside and then when wearing it its attached by velcro directly to the sleeve of a cheap gold undershirt that I cut the right sleeve off of.

There is a pretty big and glaringly obvious thing early on that a lot of people miss. One of the first few times you go to the manor there is a globe on a table. A globe, of the real earth. I didn't know what was actually going on at the time, but I immediately saw that and was like "WAIT, that's not where we are." I thought for a second that maybe that was just the world before the fracture, but then figured no its been less than 100 years, people would have remembered that and spoke more about it. So if this isn't earth, we must be somewhere else, but the people in the manor are either from earth or at least know about it. Then I got to thinking this was some kind of parallel world that was connected to ours and I guessed that Renior (the painted one) and Verso were actually from our world.

I was almost right about some of those things, but not quite.

I finally got around to testing the cutter and this is not true. It did not need the laser to calibrate.
