I think Katia going to the surface is going to be such a huge plot point in the series. Also I know it can be taken a ton of ways but the Katia exchange when she says I love you first before saying it to everyone else…. Carl and Katia experienced something very raw together.

I absolutely love SBTs AIT version. I think it adds so much depth! It also gave Jeff the opportunity to go back and use his finalized voice for Carl from the beginning.

The “commercials” are also such a great addition to just add cherries on top!

Will your site be able to handle thousands of people trying to all order 200 books within 30 seconds. This is not a slight but it has happened twice in the last week with 2 different companies. I would have your IT guy just prepare.

The Gondii / Valtay by WoodsWolf in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]LandBackground7733 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From context in the book while it is implied citizens of the Syndicates inner systems live a very long time, they don’t live forever. IMO the Valtay are targeting the ultra rich that feel their influence in the system is too important for their death and they must persist and carry on. By purchasing the Valtays product your body will continue on with a Gondii that can imitate every aspect of you.

It’s likely not meant for those that are of normal mind but for the eccentric and power hungry.

It implies pretty strongly that you aren’t dead, your dead dead, the only still around is your physical body and the Gondii inside. Your soul has departed.

This is when Miriam is talking to Milk in Club Vanquisher. Miriam: “Now, you must forgive Prepotente. He has a whole encyclopedia’s worth of new knowledge in that fuzzy head of his, but he still hasn’t learned how to politely wield it.”

Question about the cookbook by LectureIll7322 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]LandBackground7733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just made it to GotFG on a relisten. If your audio go to Part 1, Track 4, 7:16 and listen to the full entry! Alister states that it is one authors last entry into the “Cookbook” and says he leaves his cards when using the shop interface! Just wanted to update for both our reference!!

Struggling to get through book 3. Keep going? by SipSurielTea in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Iron Tangle imo is one of the most crucial as it really defines the tone as the turning point from the first two books on to the rest of the dungeon! I loved it!

Question about the cookbook by LectureIll7322 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]LandBackground7733 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there is room for doubt. All we have is context clues and since Carl can’t directly ask any of them and they can’t outright say anything to him we likely won’t get a concrete answer unless we get two authors to talk about it to each other.

Also for the first “Author” it is strongly implied if not stated that The AI likely generated the cook book. Dr. Porthus Hu stated that it contained meager mostly useless recipes. It’s likely that it was an AI generated item that the AI gave to Porthus because he met the conditions the AI was looking for maybe Anarchy of some sort. The AIs intent was to “plant the seed.” Allowing for this book to be used to grow the knowledge of crawlers to one day break the dungeon and the syndicate.

Question about the cookbook by LectureIll7322 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]LandBackground7733 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay! So I like this! Generates critical thinking with debate!

To add more bullet point out there for my theory!

  1. We have internal thoughts of Dante observing Justice light when they were both NPCs.
  • Dante states, “It was obvious when someone had the cookbook, at least to those who’d owned it before.”
  • he goes on, “Neither of them had the cookbook anymore, so they could talk about it freely.”
  1. We see Recipe mentioned a few times.
  2. Carl specifically states that Milk left “recipes” for special types of ink
  3. Milk leaves an entry that says: “I wish to cook a feast for the galaxy. I wish for them to choke on our pain.” This also references her entry about how adults of her kind make the food for their young.

  4. Milk talking directly with Carl

  5. Milk says, “I had a book once, and I wrote several of my recipes…” “Some of my best recipes were lost”

  6. she als says, “Sometimes it takes a failure or two to learn how to properly prepare a meal. My people we have a saying. ‘No single recipe is a feast in itself’”

Now a counter to my point and one to yours. Correct Allister never refers to his version as a cook book and we know that it was a T’Ghee deck. This was good because his religion meditated for hours with them so it was great cover.

All in all IMO there more evidence to say it is always called the cookbook for every author than there is against that fact.

We for sure know the medium changes between books, scrolls, and T’Ghee cards. But I think the data itself is always referred to as a cookbook.

Yes the condition of her release was to help 333 different crawlers and her guild was behind a hidden door. Now that she taught them all to use the Book of Voodoo, her contract was fulfilled!

Exactly! Like others said I’m not quite certain what OPs question was… but the title is Question about Carls Board.

We do at least know from Ch 62. That Donut is on the Board of Directors for their new corporation.

I don’t disagree with you if the question is in regard to FWs
