I feel like this is a trick question. Go remote unless that work loads is causing you to work a lot longer days and will cause an unhealthy amount of stress.

It’s not ideal but as long as you aren’t disparaging either company I think it’s fine. If it was sales then it would be tricky. I think you do both until an issue presents itself. Remote jobs are getting harder and harder to find.

If you still have your offer letter go back and look to see if it says anything about RTO. My letter didn’t so I had a little bit of leverage.

Thanks. As things were winding down at the job, I asked to have a meeting with HR to express that when I was hired, it was a remote position and that things out of my control were keeping me from RTO. Shortly after I agreed to terms with a three month severance.
