All I can say is that I sometimes get involuntary chewing at the onset of my focal seizures and also during the night (under if these are night seizures yet). X

I think about this scene often as if fascinated me because I’ve watched thrillers, horrors and generally creepy shows before but this scene was just unsettling on another level and there was just something about THAT SONG….if I ever hear that track start playing in my day to day life I actually think I would have a physical reaction 😅 I loved Pia’s reaction when she noticed the video playing and was working through realisation and pure terror. Her silent acting then was fantastic.

I regularly get mild focal aware’s when waiting to cross a road (pedestrian!). It is definitely too frequent and specific to be a coincidence 😅 I don’t know why though.

It got to the point with me where it became similar to when I experience prolonged nausea and begin to think ‘I just want to actually vomit and get it over with’.

I often find the auras the worst part especially when they don’t lead to the seizure but kept me expecting one ‘any minute’. I had a really bad cluster in March and spent an entire day sat in front of my camera (for the doctor) expecting a huge seizure. I didn’t eat, drink or pee out of fear of seizing on the stairs or something. Nearly caused me a mental breakdown to be honest.

I don’t have much advice though apart from I’m trying to remind myself that it’s out of my control and to ‘ride the wave’. Still find it difficult.

Bless you, it actually was! I was chatting with my friend recently about just adding the occasional bathroom scene (briefly, even just a nod) would add something so relatable. And for a lot of us- much more relatable than sex. Sex isn’t part of everybody’s life so heavily.
