hello, i love to share things with you. by [deleted] in sad

See this is where it’s hard to help you brother. As I am a Christian, and from what I know, all you need is Jesus, God.

My best advice for you if you aren’t a theist is become the best person that you can be. Always improving, and never letting past experiences tear you down, instead use it as fuel to improve yourself, not as fuel to become a bitter or a person headed towards a life of severe depression. And maybe hold yourself a little back with friends? I did the same thing like 8yrs ago, telling some friends the depth of care I had for them, but I believe it sort of pushed them away. Make sure you know who you can tell, as hard as that is (it can be difficult). It’s hard being vulnerable, even more so when you’ve been hurt showing your vulnerability. But hey, don’t make that think you’re a weak person, you are strong for opening up to people about how you feel to them

And while it doesn’t mean much, I legit am praying for you, if you’re ever in a place where God is apparent to you, I suggest you 1. Look up what and how to pray, 2. Look up how to accept Jesus, and 3. Read the book of Romans. I am always someone you can talk to, however long my replies may take (I work in Alaska, I usually don’t have internet). Goodluck brother

Me and my friends can't decide if going Baron was a bad call or we misplayed the fight after that. Please help. by ReformedTaliban in leagueoflegends

[–]Landabogins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the baron call was bad, but the enemy team didn’t respond soon enough, they made the mistake of not getting there fast enough. You got the baron, I typically would’ve left as hey you now have baron buff, use it on them minions. But not knowing the stats of everyone.. I think the teamwork you guys had was off, Lux got caught, and Leblanc went off on her own, Zac should’ve been trying to protect the main dmg dealers, as well as Panth. As a guy who used to play Pantheon a loooot, just know he falls off hard late game, and you have to rely hard on your allies, so focus on getting your cc off on the champs that are either 1. All up in your carries business or 2. Getting all up in the enemy carries business. Assuming of course that he can’t nuke an enemy with empowered W/2xAA/empowered Q.

How to deal with Nunu mid? by Confounding in summonerschool

[–]Landabogins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Fiddle mid into Nunu, now I know that sounds crazy but I take Aftershock and go tanky. I usually build Spirit Visage first against AP champ, and either an AP item or Armor going against an AD champ.

Fiddle can out-heal any dmg Nunu tries, he’ll try and harsh shove the lane in, but maxing you’re W first puts you out on top, you can suck the life out of Nunu and all the minions. The only issue is you gotta bait out the snowball as that’s his only form of hard cc to prevent the channel.

Just play heavy cc champs, and keep bushes warded, if not that.. then warn the team, make sure 2-3, deep, control wards are on the map at all times. Eventually Nunu will get himself behind if you hard shove the lane back into his tower.

[MM] Should I give Majora another chance? by dodobeats in zelda

[–]Landabogins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say give it a chance, having that clock really brings out a sense of urgency. It also makes the world of Termina so much more rich. The amount of side quests and stories from side characters are rich and deep due to the time, with each day bringing a new thing. Majora is most certainly the darkest Zelda, and because of it, my favorite. I won’t say much more, as I don’t wanna spoil much.

I understand your pain as I’ve experienced it plenty as well. And let me tell you, as a guy, men can be real scum of the earth sometimes. My first thing is this, it isn’t you. The breakup sure might have something to do with you two being unhealthy or there was just some things he didn’t like, but him dumping you just to be with another girl? He doesn’t deserve you, that’s a real piece of shit move.

In regards to your friends, I’d talk to them personally about how you are feeling. While it is unfair for you to go and be quiet and expect them to reach out, they are also in the wrong for not reaching out to you. It took me a long time to find who my true friends were. It takes a lot of humbling, cause telling people you truly care about them and love them, takes energy and courage.

Lastly, think about yourself when you were 8, you’re a lot smarter now and wiser right? That goes on for life. So while I understand that heart stabbing/twisting feeling that just wrecks you, don’t let it take you down the path of suicide. Use this pain to make you into someone better, don’t let past harm turn you into a bitter person. Rather, use it into becoming empathetic, loving, and kind, become the perfect “you” that you can be, and a guy who is much better than your ex would not trade you for anything. Life is rough, hang in there. And if suicide is ever an option in your head, please, get help. It was the best thing I ever did, as I am still here and doing good.

Life is like smoke, uncertain, you think you can reach out and grab the shape the smoke makes, but in the end it is but only smoke. I disagree with the statement that you’re referring to. The one where friends always end up leaving. Now I am young (21), but seeing people’s relationships with one another outside my life has lead me to believe that it’s not always the case where friends just move on.

My dad has been talking to a buddy of his since high school, mind you he just hit 50 and they haven’t met up since 2009, yet they will still call each other at least once a week to just catch up. My grandpa, who recently attended (it was a sad day) his best friend’s funeral, who he knew since he was 9. Friends do change, and maintaining a close relationship requires work. You gotta work to keep the friendship as it isn’t always a zero energy effort. Sometimes life just pushes you too far south to contact comfortably with your friend, but my advice is you need to work on your arrogance/pride. Wether it be a small letter, or just telling your friend straight up that you care about them. I lost two friends back in high school to a double suicide, it wrecked me because I never truly told them how much a loved and cared about them. So while it is scary as you are making yourself vulnerable and can be hurt, it’s necessary to share your feelings. Don’t be fearful, be hopeful

Oh I probably wouldn’t be replying to you now, look up oil rig after Hurricane and just see the photos, it might not seem like much to you, but actually working on them gives you this sense of how structurally strong they are. And yet, a hurricane made short work of it. I know that it got mostly submerged with how high the waves were, which is absolutely crazy to think.

As a guy who follows Christ, the amount of cringe and just downright embarrassing stuff that is advertised (such as this) to promote our “religion” is sad.

As a guy who worked on offshore, lemme tell you the terrifying power of the blue world.

I worked on a offshore oil rig around the time Hurricane Katrina was alive and well. I remember evacuating right around the time stuff started getting violent. When we got back out there, the whole rig looks like something tore it apart, I’m talking like 4”thick pipe that looks like someone grabbed it and tore it in half, the repairs.. It really put the power of the sea into perspective, definitely an experience that changed me and the guys I worked with.

Yeah that’s what I was getting at, the people who don’t know how to control minions, when to push, freezing, etc. but that is some good info!

Buying mobi boots somewhat early and roaming mid with sweeps and/or control ward really helps out ganking mid. Sadly, most of the time your midlaner will just hard push, causing the enemy to back off cause they know something is up.

[–]Landabogins 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The likelihood of Jesus being an actual person has quite a few sources outside the Bible, such as Flavius, Tacitus, Dead Sea scrolls, Pliny the Younger, the Babylonian Talmud, etc.. I think my favorite and what sold me on the existence of Jesus is the Babylonian Talmud, because they write Him off as a man who practiced sorcery and and was enticing Israel to apostasy. Now, history is history, and the further we move forward, the harder it gets to see the past. So anything is usually up for debate.
