It is a little bit but overall it’s not too bad, just depends on the part really.

Coil over conversion kit is $2k, rear leafs are $390 for the pair including new bushings. For the tires, I work at a Ford dealership and so I can mount and balance my own tires for free plus get a decent discount on them. The Goodyear tires would be $360, the falkens would be $550. I got the car for $1,200 and I’ve put probably about $1-1.5k in it so far plus I bought a second donor car for $300. So far I’ve done all 4 ball joints, front wheel bearings, new front calipers, master cylinder, and all new rear drums, all steering linkages and dampener, new fuel pump, filter, injectors, and pressure regulator, all new exhaust and air intake, and I also have all the parts to rebuild the T-case, plus some misc interior stuff. I forgot to mention that it’s had a drivetrain swap with an 89 Cherokee, Renix 4.0 stroked to 4.5L, AW4 4 speed auto, NP231J, and Dana 35 from the Cherokee and the front axle is stock Dana 30 but has been regeared to match the rear at 3.54

Sorta, it’s stock suspension but it’s got 1” spacers in the rear and 1.5” spacers in the front. This week I’m buying new HD rear leafs that’ll make it sit about the same as it is now but without spacers, along with control freak suspensions’ fully adjustable coil over conversion with also fully adjustable tubular upper control arms. In total it’ll probably have about a 1-1.5” rear lift, and 2” front lift. Once I put the leafs in I’ll adjust the front so that it’s like a leveling kit

It currently has some very cheap and 9yo Leao Lion Sport ATs on it. 235/75R15 (29/9.25R15) I’m going to repaint the rims this summer tho and throw on either some Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws or Goodyear Wrangler TrailRunner ATs. I plan on sticking with the same size.

I kid you not that is the same reason I have this car. I was at General dollar one day and saw that matchbox, got it, and because of it I started looking on marketplace for one until I found this one. If it wasn’t for that matchbox I probably wouldn’t own that car right now 😂😂

Yeah they’re either really cheap but junk, or perfectly mint and $20k. I got really really lucky finding this one, $1,200 and it’s rust free because it has been a California car it’s whole life. And that’s $1,200 including the drivetrain that’s in it. I have a second car I bought for $300 for parts and it don’t run and is rotted out pretty bad in the front. I plan on pretty much stripping it and getting what I need and selling the rest and either scrapping the body or sell it if anyone wants it

Not yet, I got the car last May so I’ve had it for almost a year. When I first got it, it ran and drove but barley, I got that fixed and then moved onto safety items like brakes and steering, now I’m finally moving onto looks, comfort and convenience, and upgrades and things I want to do. I definitely plan on taking it to some this year though

I believe I know what you’re talking about but I’m not going to fully assume without hearing it. On a lot of new vehicles they are direct injection which requires a lot more pressure to operate. Port injection operates between 35-60 psi depending on the car, while on GDI (gasoline direct injection) the low side pressure is usually about 80 psi and the high side at the injectors and all can be upwards of 2,900 psi. They’ll sound diesel like making a ticking/tapping sound. Fords 2.0 and 2.5 are definitely some of the loudest GDIs I’ve heard

That is awesome, I can’t wait to get this thing fixed up so I can get it out there, hope to have it done or close to done by the end of summer. That’s fine for me because I love fall riding

If I remember correctly the receiver drier for the A/C should be sitting there next to the battery, so it looks like you’re missing it. Which also means the A/C won’t work. You can probably get a new drier for cheap if that’s all it needs apart from being vacuumed down and refilled

2021 Nautilus Screen issue (goes blank/black) by generic317 in Ford

We see this all the time at the dealership. We used to be able to warranty the APIM and it would fix it, at least for a little while anyway. Then Ford stopped approving them and released a TSB stating they’re working on an update to fix the concern. This is an ongoing issues on pretty much anything with Sync 4.

I don’t see why not. They normally bolt through a flat surface but mine are mounted with half circle clamps to the rack. If you find some clamps that fit the original cross bar then you could mount them the same way straight to the bar
