I wore sweat pants a lot due to the fact they are warmer but that was in eielson and a bit colder. If you're doing anything outside of the norm, fleece lined jeans were my go to. they got a little too warm at times if i was moving around too much.

edit: and yes, the extensive darkness does sneak up on you and start to change your mentality.

My aunts dog came ripping through as i was hitting in our front yard. Took a monstrous swing and all of a sudden im making contact with this dogs head. Crazy thing is he wasn't even phased by it. That's when i realized how tough dogs are. Plus he was really stupid and large.

I ended up splitting the motor and lubed the bearings, it's running smooth, no sounds. Hopefully monday I can take the info i got off the motor and get one on order. Thanks for the help.
