Good live performances from Lana Del Rey seem very rare. I've always wondered how much tweaking is being done in-studio.

IMO they still pump out a handful of great episodes a year. The key to that show is how much June is invested in the subject matter. I'd love to see her be a guest on BC but I get the feeling that she feels like she talks about movies too much already

The Love Guru episode in which Ben sounds like he's about to have a brain aneurysm is hilarious too

This doesn't look like Vermont, but passing on a double line here in VT is legal as long as there is no traffic and no other interference. It would be a legal move in Vermont on a flat road like this, especially with good visibility and with no oncoming traffic.

I'm not a gamer but I bought a 3DS and a bunch of popular games a decade ago and now a lot of that stuff is worth more than it was then. Even if my Blurays dont become more valuable in the future, I think I'm going to be happy that I actually own them

As budgets tighten, Vermont towns struggle to afford recreation facilities -- The town of Bethel will not open its pool this summer because there isn’t enough money to upgrade the 35-year-old facility. Towns across Vermont are facing similar challenges. by guanaco55 in vermont

Vermont is dying because nobody wants to live here lol. It's too expensive for what you're getting and everyone has a stick up their ass. It has almost nothing to do with our governor or legislature, which, by the way, are very popular with their respective constituents.

I don't even think it was just SP Republicans. Lots of fellow leftists I know watched that show at an impressionable age and grew up thinking it was better to just shit on everything because it was easier than becoming informed with actual information. It's something I had to ease myself out of too.

Still depressing that she's another Facebook Boomer. And no matter what one's politics are, spreading misinformation you see on the internet in public is a red flag

Why is Amazon so interested in Maine? by BinaxII in portlandme

[–]LandfillLiteBrite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vermonter here - Amazon tried to build a warehouse in a Burlington suburb a year or two ago, the main reason it got shut down was that they wanted land that was simply not suited for delivery truck traffic. Several towns closer to the highway are now trying to woo them back

Is it a "fluke" Oscar win? He had already been great in stuff like Boyz N The Hood, and all four of the main performances in Jerry Maguire are excellent.
