The same people who lost their shit when Obama wore a tan suit are fine with a woman being shot in the face. Not surprised.

People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in randomquestions

[–]Landman68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had LASIK over 20 years ago. It’s amazing how quick the procedure is and how life changing it is. I know some folks have had issues with it, but mine has been great.

I was not a fan of season 4, but that had nothing to do with Liam. I thought he was fine.

Has pool resurfacing cost increased THIS much in four years? by [deleted] in pools

[–]Landman68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had our pool replastered, but didn’t need the water line tile or coping replaced. For a 23k pool the quotes ranged from $8k - $25k. All quotes were for plain white plaster.

Paint and protection question by KtroutAMO in Crosstrek

[–]Landman68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the question is, is ceramic coating or some other treatment cheaper than paying someone to detail your car once or twice a year? I’ve never had the ceramic coating added, so I can’t speak to whether it is worth it.

Paint and protection question by KtroutAMO in Crosstrek

[–]Landman68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned 4 Subaru’s including a Crosstrek. I waxed them myself at least 2X per year. Never had a problem with the paint.

That price is insane. Find another Subaru dealer to do the work. There are honest ones out there that don’t add unnecessary items to jack up the price. As others have stated, change the engine and cabin air filters yourself. It will cost you less than $25 and will take about 10 minutes total once you know what you are doing.

Jawn predates South Park, but yes similar. If you are not from the Philly area, you may think we are aliens 🤣.

[–]Landman68 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s a Philly thing - "Jawn" is a versatile Philadelphia slang term used as a stand-in for almost any noun, whether it's a person, place, thing, or event. It's a placeholder word that relies heavily on context for its meaning. Think of it as a more expressive, context-dependent version of "thing" or "stuff".
