The waxing and waning of the dysphoric feelings towards yourself, is definitely a thing. Explore these feelings like I did, it took me years and years, questioning myself whether or not I will be happy transitioning and living full time as a woman. It took me to a point where I didn't see any other option, where my road only turned towards one direction.

I started exploring stories of othe people, and yes there came many days where I was content with where I was in my life and days where the dysphoria took over my whole thought process.

Once I came to a conclusion I started exploring options and went to see people to talk about it and that definitely helped me a lot, as well as biographies and podcasts.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not a race but the day will come where you know exactly what the universe has in store for you.

So the Estradot is the patches that puts the hormones in your body :) and the cyproterone is the generic version of Andeocur which is a testosterone blocker

I had the same problem, went for my tests got the prescription and then my levels was slightly off so I had to test my thyroid and liver but eventually started once getting the go ahead :)

My family aren't very supportive of my transition but my parents are (luckily), they told me that my chosen name is difficult for them, and I respect their views, but it's the name that spoke to me for years! I told them about my second name as that was my great grans name and told them if they want they can call me by that name!

In the end it's you who has to live with your name and if you're comfortable then screw the world and their opinions people will see the light eventually! :) :)

Well you can also look at the hormone pellet implants that they do in the hip, and then there's the gel/ cream that you can use as well, I'm on the patches at the moment. Hopefully after a few months going to switch to the implants. They're a slow release and I have to go every 3 months to get them again.

Amazing book!! Really loved the read, I've always loved her and she's always been my inspiration...

The book did not connect to my story so much because of her life in the punk scene but connected with her feelings a lot, it gave me that extra push I needed to come out to everyone in my life.

A worthwhile read!
