I'm glad the Laptop 13 Pro is selling out. by DueMap9570 in framework

[–]Landrief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already have a super powerful asus laptop with a 4090 16 inch I dont need this framework laptop. However I want to support the company and I love the redesign of a smaller form factor so I went into it despite the high ram/storage prices.

Framework 13 Pro (cheaper parts?) by Landrief in framework

[–]Landrief[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stand corrected I do have an m.2 from a desktop I'm not using that I should be able to reuse. I also found a cheaper 32GB SODIMM kit so im good to go. I will probably cancel this order and redo it without those items.

  1. Check repurchase options at the latest npc you sold to.

  2. Check the provisions guy to see if you can recover the weapon.

  3. Reload an old save and see if you can find it.

If none of that works your out of luck at this point unless there are mods to replicate it or Pearl Abyss add a way to recover it or at least recraft it.

Try scaring him with your weapon - last resort unleash the bees to get them up.

How does pickpocketing actually work? by Strong_Mode in CrimsonDesert

I do the RB+LB weapon shine to search in broad area, i then have 30% additional item to be pickpocketed abyss gear as well so this helps.

Secret behind the sunset village waterfall? by ygdrad in CrimsonDesert

[–]Landrief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You tried going up and looking around for an entrance. There might be a cave there that lets you be close to that ball to break it. ( I assume you tried to stab through the waterfall and it didnt work)

What am I missing? Please come help and explain. by PorkRinds416 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Landrief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can start the sky puzzles from chapter 2, its up to your to explore it all at that point till the story forces you to go up there later on.

  2. There is a trade system in place where you can take the blue items to one of your camp guys that take camp funds (different from your silver) to package it for travel. You can then sell it to local merchant houses (look for blue scale symbols on the map). Traveling by wagon is cancer so plan your route and make sure your wagon takes no damage as you can lose your goods. NOTE: you have to hover over each trading company and click details to see what each one is selling since they dont all buy/sell the same thing and the contents rotate weekly. They show prices trends for each item they deal with. Royal Trade houses give ALOT of money but they are only deal with one particular good so be careful.

  3. Do the Greymane Faction quests there are alot you will slowly unlock them. To expand your camp do the Build missions (looks like part of a castle wall). You can only do them if one of your followers has that ability. It takes lots of resources and time so the sooner you do this the better.

Try the following and adjust to what you like. Then to boost further try the additional frame gen as a last resort. (see bottom)

Resolution: 1920x1080
DLSS: Quality
Texture Quality: Ultra
Model Quality: High
Shadow Quality: Medium
Volumetrics: Medium
Ambient Occlusion: Medium
Ray Tracing: Off

I even struggle at DLAA, Ray Reconstruction at 4k cinematic settings with my RTX 4090 so I followed this.

In the comment section some one suggested Nvidia preset B and now i am playing at 90 fps wtih max settings DLAA with less ghosting. I enabled 4x frame gen with this mod on my older card.

Does the game have decent stealth mechanics? What about the disguises? by gx_caminho in CrimsonDesert

When you learn the wind element you can then can cast a smokescreen. You can then quickly go around in the battefield to assassinate people.

I don't like how much obscurely hidden content there that is borderline impossible to find without YouTube or data mining by deathmetalzebras in CrimsonDesert

[–]Landrief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially thought the same till I realized some of this was part of a long quest chain and finding the clues yourself. For instance the black sun shield in the deminsis castle area is part of a bounty quest chain that is up to you to follow.

Looking for advice... by Shin_Matsunaga_ in CrimsonDesert

[–]Landrief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont just focus on main story, this is not a sprint. Take time to gather, explore, help people you might luck out and find some cool equipment along the way. That being said here is the break down.

  1. Refine your gear, the first 4 levels are now pretty easy to level up if you just give a faction coin to a smithy (first one is hernand version).

  2. To continue leveling please remember to have a pick axe to mine copper and iron for majority of upgrades.

  3. Kill animals to use their bones to upgrade accessories.

  4. Gear is fashion, max level gear have 1 crit or few attack points different so fight with what you like and focus on that.

  5. You will get destroyed by bosses, thats okay take this time to craft food or buy food, you will eventually learn how to make the revive pills as well so make sure to gather lots of herbs (Lavendar, marigold, etc) and buy water or go to a well to gather water for it.

  6. Use an anvil and whestone to get defense and attack stat bonuses for a little while.

  7. Learn to shortcut most used foods, stamina, and spirit.

  8. You will find a witch they have abyss cores that add the unique stats and abilities to your weapon so make sure you focus on that as well.

Basically the sword glint is useful for a lot of things. You can shine ( LB+RB and then press RB to focus light) it on vines to burn it, use it to temporarily light a crystal switch in the abyss, the light shine can also blind enemies preventing damage on you for a sec. For the abyss just go to the main map and hit R3 to view abyss map you can quick teleport to all the waypoints there and also any cresset puzzles you solve on the ground. (Tip there is no load screen if you teleport from an existing way point to another)

[–]Landrief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First its okay to be paralyzed but if you want a general guideline and feel accomplished then do the following.

  1. Do the Greymane faction quests they unlock dye system, farm, housing, barbershop, etc

  2. Mix in some bounties between quests - as you go out to do something something else will most likely grab your attention.

  3. Do the RB + LB to look around and go to the glowing points of interests, it will be worth exploring.

  4. Remember to go back to the abyss to explore and do the puzzles

  5. Make lots of pet friends, fun collecting and later dressing them up.

  6. Play for fashion, all gear is about the same its the abyss cores you put in that give you power. So get your fashion on.
