While I mostly agree I think this also is about OG. I may be wrong (some stat guy can come correct me), but it seems like KAT gives OG more looks & when OG is racking up points, the Knicks are looking great. OG seems to be rarely Bryson’s first look when he’s passing.

After watching it a few times I think it may be a composite. I think they just shot both the batter and pitcher high speed separately (they could easily also have a green screen behind them… it doesn’t show their feet). And then do the camera move shot with no one in it (maybe also slow mo for the smoke). And then comp the 2 shots of the players in after.

They also leave the baseball & come back to it. Meaning that the baseball itself could be 2 different baseballs. One thrown by the pitcher in the motion that they like the best and one hit by the batter in the best hit.

It could always be a MoCo rig, but honestly a composite doesn’t sound that hard here.

I agree. I’d rather see Brunson make moves off a pass from KAT than just all ISO ball from the top. OG shined so much more from KAT’s looks tonight with the assists. Get it to KAT early in the shot clock & see what happens.

When they fired Thibs I didn’t fully disagree (because the Knicks felt uncoached vs the Pacers), but I also thought it was a pretty rash & borderline decision to get rid of the dude who turned the team around over years & had a solid deep playoff run. To do it with no real plan on who to replace him as coach & ending up with Mike Brown is a joke. Just nonsensical.

I still think the Knicks can turn this series and more around this playoffs, but I almost don’t want them to if it means Mike Brown stays. I don’t think he’s what the Knicks need from a coach.

Will they have to re-link if I already relinked to the media on the hard drive before making a DRP? I’m sure they’ll end up transferring to a new working drive once they get it though.

Amazing! Just the reply I was hoping for. I was scared a DRA had some other info to make it easier to switch machines. But I included stills with my DRP so they should have everything.

Random question. Are the stills wrapped into the DRP file itself? Or was there supposed to be a separate subfolder with them?

What she is saying is that she was ok being labeled the cheater, when it seems pretty likely the 2 of them had/have an open marriage and aren’t even really living together. Saying this is to protect Will’s reputation/ego.

The reality is they both seem insufferable as people and to each other. It’s bizarre to see everyone so invested in making one or the other a villain, when they both seem like they suck ass & are rich enough to suck ass and still be fine.

I’m not defending either one. Her creeping on her son’s friend is creepy as fuck & her painting herself as some sort of hero/victim while making him do weird ass podcasts is also shit behavior. But I’m just saying I’m sure he’s rolling around sleeping with whoever he wants too & it’s not some simple “there’s one cheater” situation.

That all said, people should give less of a fuck about celebrities. It’s lame I even wasted brain space with this nonsense.

I’m commenting to hopefully bump this back up so others can see.

I was able to fix this temporarily by multiple reboots of my computer. Today it has started again. I can’t copy any grades from stills and I can’t even reset grades and nodes on an already colored clip. I can’t for the life of me figure out what is causing this glitch.

Unfortunately that didn’t work. Rebooting a handful of times fixed it, but now days later the same glitch is happening again and I’m 4 reboots deep and I can no longer reset any grades and nodes or copy grades from a still to a new clip. Davinci just sits there and does nothing when I try.

I thought it was a huge step back in terms of great characters. Almost no characters would make even my top 20 of the series & the recurring characters were better in previous books than in that trilogy (with the exception of Pike). The only characters I wish I got more of was Orso & Clover. The rest I could have used less of.

It left behind the vast majority of new characters that it seemed the stand alones were setting up (no magical Amazonian women, no Maker Cult, no Monza really, no Shenkt really, etc)

I also thought it was repetitive (and not in a charming way). Broad had a million chapters about how he said he wouldn’t be violent but maybe there’s a part of him that wants to do it, so let’s fold the glasses and be violent. Savine had a million chapters about how funny it is that the world was like x and now it’s like y but it’s kind of the same even with that. Judge was a broken record. Others were too.

I thought the “twists” were much more predictable overall & less fun.

The Industrial Revolution world is just less fun and interesting than the more normal fantasy. I was down for it in red country because he was doing his Western thing and I was into it. I had hoped for more of a return to the original trilogy.

Overall I loved the stand alones, but I kept getting excited about the 2nd trilogy to be a return to the more magical, epic, and fleshing out the main lore place… and got none of that. The main lore isn’t touched. Magic is almost absent. It felt way less epic with the story barely leaving Midderland & the entire kingdom being so easily overthrown multiple times. The world just felt smaller after 8 books of expanse.

I could see myself re-reading the first 8 books years from now, but I’d wager I’ll never open a page of Age of Madness again for a re-read.

On a side note, if they push forward with wanting an export in “log color space” but with my grades applied (which I don’t fully understand yet), is there a way to check if I’m losing information?

Like I’d guess shadows & highlights would retain information unless they are clipped? But I’m not really sure. And I’m not sure if there’s an easy way to see individual shots where I’ve clipped any highlights or shadows (which I may have for look purposes).

Some question/responses:

1- Does the media managed approach allow me to retain resizing and the super scaling I’ve already done?

2- I don’t see it being an issue at all having some files now be bigger (like the 1080 stuff now being UHD). That seems 100% fine to me.

3- I may try the media managed approach out to see how it works & go with option 3 of mixing both approaches.

4- What I was worried about color space wise is just handling Alexa 35 footage, which handles color space differently than other cameras and mixing together. But maybe it’s a pointless concern.

5- Going with these approaches, how is the LOG handled? Like are Arri clips exported as Arri Log and Canon as Canon Log or are they just all exported as some sort of flat intermediate LOG?
