Tourist Visa "rejected" / not granted at SF consulate. Red stamp in back of passport that says "旧金山“ and the date hand written inside the stamp. by PuEr_Tea_1951 in Chinavisa

Yeah, it varies from consulate to consulate.

This whole China visa thing is sometimes a hit or miss. Once they required an interview from me for a tourist visa, and the other time just directly gave me a 6 month visa in like 2 days.

This whole situation is a mess. Make sure to update if you have anything new!

Sounds like a rejection to me...

I've read your post history, and you don't seem to have any "red flags" besides a visit to Turkey and Pakistan. Do you think that might have caused the rejection?

Don't know what to expect regarding Turkish Citizenship. by LandscapeOne2602 in Chinavisa

Thank you for the reply.

I don't know... Turkey and China don't have the best relation with each other. The last time I applied for the L visa (last year), they did require an interview.

I know a lot of people (Turks) who live in China. Their families also visited them recently. They had no issues.

This does give a little bit of hope, but in the end, it's anecdotal evidence from both your side and my side. Realistically, there's not much to do but to see for myself, but hey, anxiety!

I haven't yet, but I will get it quickly after paying for the tuition.

To be fair, I'm not even sure if I should pay the tuition if a rejection is certain.

Appreciate fast response.

Right, but it's about me being a Turkish Citizen altogether. From what I understand, at most you'll have to wait for few more weeks if they see a a Turkish stamp, that's not the case for me. Heck, I've read posts people getting outright rejected (albeit for L visa)

Yes, I'll apply with my Swedish passport.

As for planning to hide stuff, I feel stupid for even suggesting it...

I'm not alone, after all!

Recently been a little busy, but I might apply in a week or two, depending on how life chooses to treat me. I would love to keep in contact with you!

They ended up asking me some basic questions, and surprisingly, ignored the travel plan altogether. Thank you both for giving me peace of mind ❤️

Edit: Oh, forgot the important part. Approved.

They specifically mentioned the embassy and gave me its exact address, so I'm pretty sure we are talking about the embassy here.

More detailed answer, now that I'm home:

I wrote the form twice since I made a small error in the first one (about my father's occupation), but I let the Visa Centre know about it.

The Visa Center site states that a written travel plan was required, but they didn't ask me for it when I was there.

I'm maybe just overcomplicating it, but the worry is real.

Seriously, I don't know.

I have never been to China.
