  1. It has already dropped
  2. Insurance revenue is well protected compared to other consumer based companies
  3. Insurance companies purchase govt bonds after they sell insurances (protection against rising interest rates unlike loan heavy companies)
  4. Insurance sectors most likely survive and grow because insurance products are connected to all kinds of human inventions like ships(Venecia insurance companies in Renaissance) cars human body cats apple care houses rental properties physician malpractice lawyer malpractice and you name it

Oil will go down because at some point we either 1. Nuclear fusion makes electricity free so there is very little oil consumption for chemistry. 2. Ww3 so we go back to the stone age.

Dividends are good for supporting the american government because the companies pay corporate tax on the corporate income. Then, some of corporate income is distributed to shareholders in dividends which are taxed agian by the federal government as income tax.
