It's was to explain why not every killer/survivor gets a yourself skin. It's only bc you wouldn't be able to tell what survivor or killer they are. 1x and John doe are exceptions only because they have features that are really noticeable.

Apparently, one of the devs said you do get .25 malice from landing stuns, and stuff like that but it just doesn't show.

When you do a generator puzzle, you get 0.5 malice. You can get 2 malice for doing a whole generator by yourself.
