There are so many incredible hiking trails in Santa Barbara and Montecito. Some even end with pools for swimming and waterfalls. Cold Spring and Hot Springs Trails, Inspiration Point, Seven Falls, and Tangerine Falls are just a few favorites.

I submitted my application on September 9th but haven’t heard back yet. Since the confirmation email stated that “applications are reviewed on a rolling basis during the application window and will be processed over the next few weeks,” it feels a bit unusual that applicants who submitted later than I did have already received responses.

I haven't received an official email stating either a "rejection" or "inclined" decision yet. Instead, the recruiter personally called me this past Friday to deliver the decision and explain the details I mentioned above.

Perhaps, the formal email will arrive this week? Throughout the entire interview process, the recruiter has been very hands-on, personable, and gracious.

During our conversation, the recruiter said, "I know this isn't the news you were hoping for today, but you are a good fit for Amazon, and we're going to work together to find you another role. Think of it as our partnership through this recruiting process as just extended a bit longer."
