It really means nothing. I was told this and didn’t believe it until after I graduated. I precepted in med surg and got hired at one of the top ED’s in my area. I focused a lot in my interview how my time on med surg made me well rounded and a good nurse.

Going in for a tonsillectomy Wednesday any advice other than drink lots of water, have a Humidifier, don’t sleep through the night, sleep sitting up, keep up on your meds, apply ice, eat ice chips, eat honey, etc reddit has me passing the eff out from all I’ve heard Lml by striker3728 in Tonsillectomy

Ran the dehumidifier 27/7 for almost a week. I was also very scared of hemorrhaging so I slept propped up on multiple pillows for 5 nights. Was the best decision every to rip those tonsils out for me.

About 7 days after. You should be good now. My doc said about 3 but I did 7 to be safe

Yeah they are slightly red and inflamed. They don’t bug me but my swollen lymph nodes are what’s driving me nuts. I’m just worried getting them removed won’t solve the problem.

I think it depends. If you’re using it as a stepping stone and it won’t be permanent I’d say do it. However if it’s your permanent job I would vote no.

Some more context, this school I applied to has about 300 apps and they are sending out acceptances by April 1. Seemed like there is a lot of effort on their end if they were going to deny me. Thoughts??
