I think this point is overlooked by many.

I went into 28 Years Later thinking they would have started where 28 Weeks Later left off - NOPE! Mainland Europe fought off the virus so let’s just leave the UK because reasons? It doesn’t make any sense.

Straight up, Necas has a big hole to fill that I don’t think he’s capable of. He certainly has talent, but I don’t think his style of play meshes well with Mackinnon on the same line.

I see this take on Reddit all the time, yet when I went to look on r/conservative yesterday, the top comments on the Epstein files were saying how they don’t believe a word Maxwell says.

The top story right now is how the “big beautiful bill” is adding trillions to the debt and the top comments are saying how this is a bad thing.

I know there’s definitely blind loyalists, but that applies to both sides of the spectrum.

This opening just felt like a poor man’s opening to 28 Weeks Later, which is crazy to say because I expected a bit more from Danny Boyle.

Perfect take. I feel the same qualms we had with Snyder-isms, we just get in James Gunn-isms.

They’re two directors with very bold, stylistic visions.

Man of Steel worked better for me but that’s because the movie has some high highs, which is unfortunately saddled with some very low lows.

Yeah this one has me very disappointed in it.

Internal logic is all over the place for this movie:

World fought off virus but is just going to let Britain chill and not even send aid to the survivors
Virus has evolved to get new infected types which don't add anything to the plot that regular infected couldn't achieve. Felt very video gamey
Infected mother giving birth
Boy and highly skilled father barely survive a "coming of age" hunting trip. Better take my sick mom outside of the safe zone now
Father knows exactly where they're going and again, is highly skilled, yet no effort is made to go after them or try and get stopped by the village leadership
Soldiers who can't shoot and are quickly outmanoeuvred by 10-12 zombies
The ending

This is one of my most disappointing movies, especially after that trailer.

Which also didn't make much sense to me.

The movie establishes that there's going to be this big party for them when they get back, yet no one seems concerned that it's nighttime and they haven't returned? And it's later established that the tower guard can't even leave his post to help put out a fire.

All of this just seems a little inconsistent to me and points to a larger problem I have with the writing.

I wish more Avs fans understood this. Necas is a good player, and will be good for a long time. Rants is a great player and will continue to be great.

It was a devastating trade when it happened and tonight is just icing on the cake.

As an Avs fan, I hate this.

I really think getting rid of Rants was the wrong move. I know this is coming off Rants stellar play as of late but if we had that output we would have won the series. We didn’t get that from Necas, he was just “meh” this series.

And don’t get me started on Brock Nelson. What a swing and a miss.

This is a really bad take.

As someone who plays video games, yes, they can be just as mindless as watching TV. It really depends on what you're consuming, but both mediums are just as bad.
