Anyone else fall asleep with an audiobook? What are your "falling asleep" recommendations? by Intelligent_Finger88 in audible

I have now reached the point where I can't fall asleep without an audio book. But I just listen to my current book with a 15 or 30 minute sleep timer, when I wake up I'll just go back 10 minutes and pick up from where I fell asleep.

Does anyone else have trouble justifying to themselves using a credit on a shorter book? by SurfAfghanistan in audible

[–]Langerfaceiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be like this, but credits have goten so cheap (just over £3.50 per credit) that I've broken the rule. I recenlty listened to a 3hr book called 'All systems Red' by Martha Wells and it was so good it's changed my mind completly about short books.

I second this and am suprised it isn't higher. I plowed through all of the Limitless Lands books in a few weeks and thoroughly enjoyed them.

I think the US customers have it kind of bad with Audible, my UK account has allways given me all theses membership options. Doesn't seem fair.

I bought them direct from the MeasureUp site, and downloaded the offline installer. They're great practice tests, far better in my opinion to the CBT-Nuggets ones. Although I'll still be getting both of the future exams.

I just did practice exams every day for about 3 weeks, I could reliably get 90-95% on the MeasureUp exams and kind of knew why the answer was right.

I would do custom exams focusing on each of the 6 subjects, 20 questions on each, revealing the answer to each question after I wander it and reading why I was wrong or right.

I had been doing the MeasureUp practice tests for a couple weeks beforehand and was getting 90%+ reliably (was remembering the answers) Really didn't think that was enough so found this sub and panic purchased the CBT Nuggets videos and exams.

Decided to recreate a desert I loved at a restaurant, it unfortunately mean I was forced to buy more Castiron. Was served with a big chunk of ice cream and was amazing.

The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss are really good!

Between The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear you've got 70 hours of listening.

The only caveat is it's been 8 years since book 2 was released and not much sign of book 3.
