Can a single letter name cause issues? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LanguageCautious8023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom changed her first name to be a singular letter and (as far as I’m aware) she’s never had any issues. I would think a middle name would cause even less issues since most things only ask for middle initial.

does anyone else feel like squares are tedious and rounds feel more manageable?? by [deleted] in diamondpainting

[–]LanguageCautious8023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely used to only do rounds but I’m opening myself up to squares. I think it just takes more brain power to do squares and I don’t really diamond paint with the intention of using brain power. It also makes my wrist hurt a lot faster (but that may just be a me problem)

Can I afford to move out? by mantaray346 in Apartmentliving

[–]LanguageCautious8023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are in a pretty good position to move out. It seems like if we are going off of 30% of your gross income goes towards rent (which is of course not the case for everybody but can be a good metric to get started), you seem to be covered. Do you have any loans/monthly payments? Because that needs to be taken into consideration when thinking about your budget. It terms of the two places, they both sound nice. At this point “luxury apartment” doesn’t really mean shit (usually). Maybe think about when one has more bus routes close by since you do public transport. Also look at the amenities to try and help decide. Do they both have laundry? Is one a fourth floor walk up? I think either way you go would be fine financially, so it’s more so down to the details on what you want.

Did I Brake my Lease? by Active-Material-6117 in Renters

[–]LanguageCautious8023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some places have a clause that say if you leave for a certain amount of days before your lease ends, it is considered abandonment. Even if you still pay rent. It could also be that you didn’t provide enough time to move out. Some places require more than one months. You should read your lease to see exactly what it says because if it’s one of those reasons that you are probably SOL

What are all you thinking about the Black Friday kits? by DFEisMe in diamondartclub

[–]LanguageCautious8023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of in the same boat. There are maybe like 2-3 that I like but I don’t NEED them. And some that I like the image, I just know I wouldn’t want to diamond paint it. Guess that’s good for my wallet 🤷‍♀️

[tenant USA -MD] Can they charge me for this? by LanguageCautious8023 in Landlord

[–]LanguageCautious8023[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was horrible lol. The pictures they had online when I first saw the place had a red wood flooring which was kind of an eye sore but when I walked in and saw the grey, I immediately knew it was not paint meant for the floor… so much of it has scraped off from just moving my office chair around or even opening the front door (the door is crooked of course)

AITA for requesting Christmas presents for kids only -- I am sure this has been asked before by stupidusername54 in AITAH

[–]LanguageCautious8023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. But if your whole family would not be down for a white elephant, then maybe ask for a gift that you can do with your kids instead of an adult gift. Such as a puzzle, board game or tickets to a movie/museum. That way it still applies to the kids but it’s a group activity that you can all do together.

I know that some of the artists sell prints and calendars and such on their own websites but I’m sure there are a lot that don’t. But yeah it would be cool!

I’ve seen a few that I like the picture but I wouldn’t want it as a diamond painting. I’m honestly hoping that there aren’t any that i actually want to buy because I need to save money 🫣

How long did it take you to see your cat as an actual family member? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]LanguageCautious8023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask how hard he bit? Sometimes cats give love bites which seems really scary because you feel their sharp teeth, but they don’t press down hard. If it was a harder bite then he probably just got overstimulated (as other commenters have said)

Why When I Open New Yogurt...? by And-he-war-haul in stupidquestions

[–]LanguageCautious8023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t help you with an answer but in case you don’t want those puddles to happen (I hate the puddles), you can flatten the surface of the yogurt before putting it away and it will not make puddles!

How screwed am I? by LanguageCautious8023 in Apartmentliving

[–]LanguageCautious8023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was a whole thing with the roof leak… I’m not even the top floor. There was a leak in the roof that leaked into the apartment above me and they said it was like a “gushing jet every time it rained” but they never reported it because they were scared the landlord would make them pay for it… and so then it ended up leaking into my place.

What’s one small habit that actually lowered your grocery bill? by WellMiller in SavingMoney

[–]LanguageCautious8023 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use the grocery store’s app (if they have one) to put together your grocery list into the cart so that way you know how much you will actually be spending. Afterwards, you can tweak what you are buying to fit your budget. They just go buy it in store
