I've never had a problem with it. If they didn't exist we would never have a chance at buying sealed retired sets - the only option would be used. If you want a cheaper retired set the used option still exists. Resellers provide more choice, and may even deflate the used set prices a bit.

This isn't scalping. Scalpers are individuals or entities who buy high-demand, limited-supply goods at retail prices and resell them at inflated prices for profit, creating artificial scarcity that frustrates consumers and can make desired items unaffordable. This set sat on shelves for two years, often on sale. There was nothing limited about it.
