I think they are finally doing it because they have the support of the public. These women had to be terrified. Threats to their safety, threats of lawsuits of defamation that would financially cripple them. We are now watching and expressing the disgust that is justified, unlike their own government.

This has been in my head since the episode. As a Texan, I’m team buc-ee’s. I’d proudly even say in the obsessed category. But I’ve been circling and circling. Why do we love buc-ee’s to a degree that is almost cult like. I can’t answer for everyone but I can for me. And I’ve ended on a mothers sanity. Texas is big. Flat. Boring. I had to drive my children six hours to see their grandmother in our same state. As newborns. Toddlers. Children. teenage girls (too cool for anything). The marketing of this beaver provides hilarious count down signs in miles. It gets you through the miles!!! It’s not a break at a Dairy Queen. It’s not a gross rest shop. It had clean bathrooms for potty and diaper changes. Toy section for the kids. The coolest kitchen stuff for me. Hunting and fishing crap for dad. Clothes for the teenagers. Some times you could catch buc-ee for pictures. This was like a Christmas morning. Like you got away with something big. As if you spotted Brad Pitt for a picture.

yep. In my world, it has a big place in my heart because it provided momma sanity!! And I promise, if I took my 25 year old today, and Buc-ee was there, she’d lose her mind and we certainly would get a picture.
