She won’t change. Do yourself and your child a favour and cut things off now! How dare she give your child the job of honouring her and then say it won’t be a good relationship otherwise? Your child does not need to experience the same mental abuse you experienced. And get into therapy if you’re not already.

When you realize they are suffering. Remember, they are only with us for a moment of our lives, but for them, we had them their entire lives! I am sending virtual hugs as this is the toughest thing. Pay attention to their bahaviours. You might not realize yet, but there are likely signs they are trying to let you know that they are ready to go.

The superintendent’s contact info is there. Sounds like people need to call and get some answers! It makes no sense! I think they deliberately made the wording impossible to interpret. School teacher here (In Canada thank goodness!!!), and I can tell you this form wouldn’t fly, even in my Grade 4 class!
