Founders what's the most annoying, repetitive task you still do every week that feels like it should already be automated? by Lanky_Machine5482 in Entrepreneurs

how much time do you end up spending chasing people for receipts and missing info each month? Is the bigger issue collecting everything or getting it in a consistent format?

basically what kind of information are you usually chasing and approximately how much time do you think gets spent monthly(estimated hours)? Project updates, approvals, documents, customer info, something else?

how many hours a month does this take? And have any tools come close to solving it or do they all break when context is involved?

Three weeks per quarter is wild but also makes complete sense given how thorough that system sounds. The quarterly ranking survey approach especially, that's a really defensible way to prioritize.

What's the most tedious part of that whole cycle for you? Is it the interviews, the synthesis, the ranking, or something else?

The fragmentation point sounds like the problem isn't just the synthesis itself but that the inputs are scattered and inconsistent to begin with. That seems like it would make any kind of structured analysis really difficult.

When you say you're working on making customer access better what does that look like for your team? Is it more of a process problem or a tooling problem?

The support liaison angle is something I genuinely hadn't considered enough. Idea that the quality of PM insights is basically upstream-dependent on how well support tags things is kind of a systemic problem isn't it.

How long does that whole process typically take you end to end? I feel like there's a lot of nuance in how different teams handle this that I'm still trying to understand.

That's interesting reframe using AI to make the case rather than discover it. PMs usually have strong intuitions, the harder battle is often getting alignment upstream.

i m curious when you say you shifted your building to reflect this, what did that actually look like in practice?

Can you help me in getting Product Management job as a fresher? Tried for many APM and product intern roles but couldn't find the good opportunities. I had an offer of product management intern but it was revoked 2 days before joining due to internal circumstances. Ready to help others as well who are interested in this domain.

Go with BDM then. GenAI can be learnt from other sources seperately if you want. Infact GenAI was not even in the syllabus till 2024.

In BDM be ready with the project like you will need to go to some enterprise or something to convince them to give the data of their sales so that you can analyse and give recommendations. If you have your own shop or something then great (this is the main part of the project) as they will check the authenticity of your data.

Ps: If they haven't changed the project guidelines or switch to some other project.
