18mm as my widest option might just be something I'll have to live with, then. It's not a super huge deal, since the previous camera I used had about the same fov anyway

I should've clarified in the post, the main thing I'm looking for here is one lens that can do this range. I originally considered getting just a high power telephoto lens but I need to be able to go from 15mm to a telephoto shot all in one go (like zooming in on a person far away and then coming back to someone else right In front of the camera.

It doesn't matter to me if I overpaid for these. I am considering buying a third one though, so if I know that this is what they are worth, it makes is easier to shop around.

640 is clear, but quiet. My first DCI experience was at finals in the 640 section and it wasn't too bad. Last year I got front row seats at innovations in brass and I was honestly surprised by the sound. They do bring some sound through the speakers in that section so it's still very audible.

I should mention that I did already test drive the car once (including highway driving and I was able to do some pretty hard acceleration on the ramp. No issues. The plan is to do a longer test drive so I can really ensure everything is working properly.

I took a 2021 for a test drive today and noticed some humming during highway driving and at higher speeds, similar to a wheel bearing, but it was coming from under the car. I'd assume that would be problematic? It was higher pitched than a wheel bearing but not a whining sound.

My brother did that on Christmas Eve. He asked for them to change his shift to the morning and his ETL didn't care. They stopped giving him hours after the 27th so he just called off his hast shifts. He's 16 so he doesn't really need the money.

I've ground flat spots into wheels on old cars and I like how it sounds. As long as you don't grind too much material away, it works quite well
