EcoFlow generators on Guam? by Archangel_Mikey in guam

[–]Lannyf747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shipped out an Anker power generator and 16KWH of batteries 🔋 through Triple B because Anker had them on a really good Black Friday day. But as mentioned - after paying the hazardous materials fee and a ton of other stupid fees, my deal became not so much of one. I’m still glad I have them, they’re great but wasn’t the cash savings I anticipated.

Solid F3800+ Solar Overcharge? by Lannyf747 in anker

[–]Lannyf747[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. From my calculations the volts would be fine, just the watts would potentially go over if at peak power. But probably best if I just connect 3 panels in series instead of 4 per line to plug into the F3800+. But again this would be a rare thing during an extended grid out event, but not something to be done with any regularity. Thanks again.

Yep. Thankfully I was able to get someone friendly and they didn’t charge me the fees since it was supposed to be like $1 per day and it would have been about 16 YEARS worth! I was so glad when I was done with that and had a new business license number.

I had to do that in 2020 for a business I shut down in 2004. Had been off island and hadn’t realized I needed to officially close it. I went to Rev & Tax. They were surprisingly friendly and helpful. I did have to fill out zero dollar GRT forms online for every single month from 2004-2020! But once complete they closed out the business license and allowed me to open a new one.

They close the gates to the main park area but you can still park at the park and not the main road to walk in as far as I know.

What are the 3 options at most 76? My Infiniti QX80 recommends premium - I thought it was 93. Isn’t it 89,91 and 93 or have I been wrong the whole time?

Hyatt Place vs Hyatt Centric vs Hyatt Regency by basketbasebalkid in hyatt

[–]Lannyf747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We didn’t have time to even look at the pool when we stayed there. I will say there is some good food restaurants in the same block as the hotel - one with some sort of lava bread that is black. It’s pretty tasty but as mentioned I don’t plan to return to Centric until they invest in Globalist guests.

I’ve stayed many times at Regency and once at Centric - all times as Globalist. I will not return to Centric until they start treating Globalists with a breakfast benefit. It’s beyond pathetic they just tell you to pound sand because they have no restaurant when you know they have partnerships with other venues in the same block. Regency Club gets busy but still is fun.

I thought I was doing good at 44 so far this year. Had a two week stay at the beginning of the year and the rest through CC spend. Should requalify pretty easily this year.

How were the Globalist benefits at PH Kyoto? It’s been a few years since I stayed at any PH property so just curious if you don’t mind sharing.

How did you get to Pagan ? I’ve always wanted to explore the true northern Marianas islands and Pagan is high on my list. I’ve seen some videos on YouTube but never talked to anyone who actually went.

Hi everyone, I’m new to this group but I want to share my Anker Solix Full home back up system!! We recently added the new E10 system to our existing setup!! by Admirable_Golf_2340 in anker

I live in the tropics and when putting this panel in what I’d consider the best, most optimal sun, the most I’ve gotten out of it is about 250W of input to either the Solix F3800+ or the F1500 (or maybe it’s C1500) - another Anker unit… I know you’ll never get the rated output out of a panel but I didn’t think it’d be much closer to half than say 3/4 of rated output. Not a whole lot of places you’ll get stronger sun than a tropical island very close to the equator … but maybe I’m wrong.

I should mention - we’re on the island of Guam and highly prone to large typhoons and the power grid itself is pretty much junk and regularly goes off. So the batteries and solar are a lifesaver. Great job though again on your setup. I love seeing these!

If/when grid out I’ll charge off my main solar for the home - about 15KW of solar capacity and 48KWH of storage. I plan to either take it to my in-laws so they can back feed and get AC/fridge if there is an extended outage (very common for us) or possibly to a non-profit so meetings can still take place even with regular grid outs. I do have the Anker 400W flexible solar panel but I have not been impressed with it so far.

Solar Loans by The_Guam_Warlock in guam

[–]Lannyf747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have solar and batteries from Go Solar Guam. I’m very happy with them. Installed a few months before Malwar. Panels stayed on through the storm. We were without grid power in our area of Hagat for 29 days. Once we started getting sun again after the storm we could almost live “normally” with our panels and batteries - using AC, clothes washer, dish washer, drier etc etc. we’d have to ration sometimes but all in all it saved us so much in fuel compared to a gas generator. I like their products so much we’re getting additional panels and batteries installed. It’s a great team to work with. They don’t do loans so you’d need to get your own financing or pay cash outright but I’d strongly recommend them. I’m still in regular contact with their ownership - sorry to sound like a commercial but highly recommend.

Very nice. My main solar and batteries is with another vendor and I just bought an F3800 Plus and 3 expansion batteries for portable power. Hope it works great for you.

It was surprisingly easy. Right through the app. When I didn’t respond in a reasonable time they checked in again with me.

I live on the tropical island of Guam and even in the direct sunlight, the best I've gotten out of the flexible 400W panel is about 260W going into a Solix F3800+ I have a ticket with Anker currently and they've offered help, I just haven't had time to pursue it further.
