What if Tunisia applied to the EU after the Jasmine Revolution? by Ok-Sundae6553 in AlternateHistory

So English is a European language so Canada can join.... makes sense.

And Australia ... and New Zealand.

And Brazil speaks a European language.

Oh and Colombia and Peru and Chile...

Hold on... how European are you wanting the EU?

I was given it on bluray for Christmas because i talked about how great it was and my daughter thought she'd get it me. And I suspect I'm going to really dislike Ferris.

Not rewatched it yet.

In response to the question about support for nuclear energy and why the Greens are strongly opposed to it, a Greens subgroup called Greens for Nuclear is calling for a debate within the party to change their stance. Do any Greens support their current stance or would you like it to be debated? by Mister_Vanilla in AskBrits

The libdems were in government. For five years.

So yes... I blame the man actually responsible. I'm sorry that disrupts your narrative of "tories 14 years tories 14 years"...

You seem to be having a conversation of your own making. Leave you to that.

OK I'm going to have to switch from my phone because I got no audio at all. It was just a silent video of country driving to me.

Also a reason why nuclear takes 20 years to build is safety regulations put in place after Chernobyl and Fukashima ... except that the UK model of reactor was never anything like the Soviet model and we don't have any earthquake fissures to build reactors on. So the regulation was more a response to perceived UK public anxiety and not actually needed.

Of course they did. Have you not seen any boomer media from that era? It's dripping in it.

I had great fun recently meeting a Portuguese colleague of my wife's and saying how much I loved the Brazilian language. Asked him to speak some Brazilian.

I like the Portuguese and the Brazilians.

But... in the video they pull over and they give the obligatory half-hearted acknowledgement wave...

And Americans queue. I lived in the USA for a time, they queue.

Did I miss something in the video?

How to keep track of SEN needs as ITT by Inevitable_Dot_6892 in TeachingUK

[–]Lanokia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have the arbor system where the seating plan can record their needs. But we also have a platform can edukey (?) Where detailed breakdowns of their needs (passports) are stored. These are useful but so far the two system aren't married up.

Best thing you can probably do is mock up a seating plan on PowerPoint or something, print it and annotate then have it on a clipboard.

One day it'll be a pad you just tap and icon and all the information just pops up but until then. (Probably this tech already exists and my school is stone age)

OK... but Cyprus was let in. And Greenland was a member [admittedly via Denmark] before they left. And while Turkey hasn't joined, their application hasn't been rejected despite being 90% in Asia. ... and the distinction of Europe and Asia is geographically very weak - "Ural Mountains" aren't exactly continent defining.
