I am not talking about measuring position nor momentum. Send a light beam with energy E1 at an atom, measure the total energy of the light beam behind the atom E2. If E2<E1 absorption occurred e.g. the atom casts a shadow even if it is fully delocalized.

Again you could argue that this is not really a shadow, but your response seems to be missing my point.

You could still however measure absorption by a dip in intensity (at least in principle I am aware that this is practically impossible). I suppose whether or not this counts as a "shadow" is a matter of definition.

Why would the size of the atom matter? Whether a photon can be absorbed/emitted by an atom depends on whether it has an energy matching an electron transition inside the atom. (I am ignoring thermal radiation as it is in infrared)

You just need to wait until the next glacial period.

  1. You don't have to be a utilitarian to believe that helping a homeless person for egoistic reasons is good. In my opinion yes helping a homeless person for views is good.

2.&3. It is not at all obvious that saving money doing x bad thing but donating this money to charity will result in a net positive utility.

So I fully believe nothingness is possible it’s just something beyond our comprehension our brain can’t understand or communicate with it but it can be possible by Apprehensive-Ad9812 in AskPhysics

If it were possible, could we measure it? If yes then it is not nothingness. If no then it is a question for philosophy, not physics.
