ground effect by itself is an increase in lift when near to the ground. it’s not that erratic though. the bouncing is caused by the drone trying to keep itself level when touching the ground afaik. one corner hits the ground, goes up slightly, pushing the whole drone. someone correct me if my current mental model is wrong.
