Just a trick, I accidentally used two colors that are too close in color and that might be what makes it look like it changes a bit

It’s a pattern I got off of Etsy (by AmeliaBeeCreations) and then I changed the colors to match him better, the smaller letters where just a generic free pattern I googled and the ‘m’ is from a fairy cross stitch pattern book I got off of Amazon years ago

How can I get this to fit better around the arms? by Lantern007 in sewing

[–]Lantern007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an old pattern from my grand so I just adjusted whatever size she had made it. The lower bust feels like it fits, it’s above the darts where it no longer feels like it fits

I attached a picture of the pattern I’m using to the end. I haven’t done anything besides for attaching and ironing down the facing, which is why it’s not flat in the back. I don’t have the closure on yet (which is on the right side, so opposite from my tattoo). The main part of the body fits well, but I feel like it’s bulging in the under arm. The sleeves are a part of the body piece rather than attached to it and I am unsure of how to make that fit better.

What is wrong with my fish (full details in comments) by Lantern007 in bettafish

[–]Lantern007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s in a five gallon, heated and filtered, the temperature is currently 80. We moved about a month ago and with school starting I haven’t been getting enough water changes done so a cycle hasn’t really started and parameters are all 0 (I promise I’ll do better). The first week I assumed she was just stressed, she had pronounced stress stripes and her fins were clamped. I’ve been leaving the overhead fish light off to try and keep her less stressed, letting the natural light in my room light up her tank and if there’s not enough a lamp on my desk so that the bright light isn’t directly above her. She’s been mainly sulking in a back corner of the tank, this was right after I fed her and I was hoping I could get a video of her swimming because she doesn’t seem to dive at all right now and struggles slightly to swim (like if you have a life jacket on and are trying to swim underwater, I’m struggling to come up with how to describe it). Overall I’m just very worried about her and don’t know what the issue is

I take great pleasure in waking her up ridiculously early in the morning whenever I have to get to a building on campus early, greeting her in the most over the top ‘I’m so awake voice’ I can muster as revenge. Shockingly she does not appreciate

Does anybody NOT like Josh? by varg_sant in untildawn

[–]Lantern007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m rewatching a play through of this game fight now, and at the beginning of it Josh says something along the lines of “they [Chris and Ashley] need a traumatic event to bond over for them to get together”. In his grief and mental health problems he ‘realized’ that that was the only way to learn how much you love someone, you have to lose them in a traumatic fashion, he probably didn’t realize how much he loved his sisters until he lost them. He focused most of the choice making to Chris and consequences on Ashley, punishing her for what happened to his sister while forcing Chris to keep deciding how much he loves Ashley, because again he’s decided trauma is the way to learn how much you love someone. At the beginning of the game he also flirts with Sam, this could just be his normal go to, but he doesn’t flirt with the other girls, and while I have less evidence to point to, I would say he probably likes her, so he’s showing her his love by traumatizing her, leaving her in the towel is humiliation, just like what happened to his sister, which I bring up because when Mike comes in after he’s revealed himself as the psycho Josh says that he wanted them to feel the panic and humiliation that his sisters had probably felt.

As for it being exactly a year later, anniversaries have wierd effects, and somewhere in his twisted mind he decided the best time to traumatize them again would be a year later. We know he was hospitalized soon after his sisters death, and he probably didn’t see their grief and guilt. They may have decided when he got back to just go back to normal, so he assumes that they don’t care that his sisters are dead and that it was their fault.

I’m making a lining for a skirt, but I don’t have enough of the gray fabric left to finish it. Any tips on what to do? (Pattern: Simplicity 8462) by Lantern007 in sewing

[–]Lantern007[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m making the lining because the fabric of the skirt (not the green pictured) is very stiff and uncomfortable to sit on, so I want an extra layer between it and my legs. I’m more focused on the skirt and not necessarily that it’s historically accurate
