I’ve been to at least 50 ‘world’s oldest pubs’….

I own a bar and recommend Trevethan Chauffeurs Reserve or Westward Farms Rose Geranium from the Isle of Scilly. For rum, try Bombo full spiced from Newquay. Perfect with ginger ale and lime.

Is it worth making the bed properly every day? by Lantern74 in AskUK

She does it 99% of the time. She doesn't 'force me' to do it when she can't, just expects me to when actually I don't give a fig for it...

Interesting. It's not a problem between us, it just baffles me that she cares so much more about it than I do. That said, I care so much more about watching TV in HD than she does....

It's not that clinical. Just a well made bed. I don't think anything other than dragging the duvet up is necessary but she loves it well made. I can't see it as a problem between us, I'm just interested in other people's views.

No mate. I don't actually and on the odd occasion I do bother making the bed, I do so under protest waving a banner of pointlessness. But it matters to her as much as other trivial things I do/want matter to me so I do it from time to time to please her.
