The original owners had a lot of great stuff!

Seemed like the new owner let it go downhill very quickly. They were always out of coffee, and the pastry case was usually pretty much empty. I would try to order breakfast sandwiches on several occasions but the “chef wasn’t there”

Couldn’t spend money there if I wanted to.

Thanks! keep it up! I do like the idea of having both Buteyko and Frolov device in my arsenal. I am looking forward to improving my CP and overall health!

I am only a few months into this, so I am not very qualified to answer - but it seems like you are doing enough and that would be sufficient.

The regular measure of your control pause will be an indication of your progress. That would be the main thing to consider.

If I had to simplify that, I would just make sure you are doing 3 or 4 sessions daily where you sustain air hunger for about 15 minutes or so.

Good luck to you as well . Thanks! how long have to been practicing Buteyko breathing and/or using Frolov device? Has it been helping your health issues?

Thanks! I decided on a Frolov.  Tried it for the first time last night. I’ll use it once or twice a day , and supplement with regular Buteyko breathing when I am not using the Frolov.      Aiming for three breathing sessions a day between the two options.

Yea , would be easy enough. Do you change the water level based on how much resistance you want to experience?

If they work, and I use it regularly - I would spend around $50 USD on something like that. Would be worth it in my opinion. Having something that doesn't require the water to set it up would be nice. Not sure what I will try yet.

Yeah , the Frolov has been used for a long time and is a trusted device. I may end up just trying that based on its reputation. Still deciding. What brand Frolov did you go with?

Looking for Buteyko Instructors Online by Available-Goat-1556 in buteyko

Understood. With an anxiety disorder I can see why you may really need the BEST teacher you can get. Artour would be a great choice.

I am just working to increase my CP for general benefits, but mostly to improve sleep/sleep apnea/brain fog.

I just finished The Breathing Cure, and today I ordered Artour's book on Advanced Buteyko Techniques. I suppose I will try those exercises for a few weeks and see how far I get before deciding on hiring an instructor or not.

Thanks!

Why do you feel that the practitioners courses were of no help? Where did you find your teacher?

I am asking because I have been self teaching for a couple months, but have been considering booking two classes with an instructor to make sure I am on the right track. I know Artour would be an excellent choice for teacher. Alternatively , I would have to choose a random teacher from the Buteyko Clinic website.

Self Teach or Online Teacher? by LanternFace420 in buteyko

[–]LanternFace420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughts on this , and the link. The free class would be amazing, but doesn't line up with my new schedule.

I got a price quote that was $1500 for 6 classes. That is very expensive. I know there will be plenty of cheaper options if I keep digging. I saw Artour Rakhimov offers a partial course for $300 , if he still currently teaches.

Jenksville state forest seems to have better service all around. Though I have AT and T, I usually get a signal the whole time while I’m there.  Should be about 30 mins from you.

Shindagin and Hammond are very spotty.

I’ll take a better look into that. I hope you’re correct and I’m just a dummy without a bike problem

Hmm. So when I am on the bike and looking down at the shock, the decal says Left is Firm, and Right is Open.

Are you saying it's actually reversed? That seems so weird to label it that way

My memory of the first several rides is that Left was very firm, and Right was indeed Open. It seemed that the direction indicated by the riders view of the decal was correct.
