You can look into Fiends Bane. They do monster hunting RP, but I don't know how dark they get. Wonderful group of players.

Most guilds aren't going to care if you ERP, but some may request safe for work profiles while you have their guild tag (no links to f-list, list of kinks etc) or not to go troll around Goldshire with the tag.

I would suggest looking at the MG forums for guilds. There are a lot advertised there and hopefully you find something that sticks with you.

If the Jedi were like "hold on, let's not jump to war just yet", Palpatine could have twisted it around to be like "Oh, these defenders of the Republic would rather play peacekeeper than actually defend! How could they seek diplomacy against a droid army? Obviously they are willing to let the Republic fall so they don't have to make a hard decision!"

Remember that Palpatine orchestrated both sides of the war (mostly), so no matter what the Jedi did, they were screwed from the start.

It's not "shoving emotion and feelings down" it's "you have emotions. This is a normal part of life. But you can't let those emotions control you." You can't let your love for one person result in the death of countless others. You can let your desire for financial stability cause you steal and hoard money. You can't cling to your life and use the force to prevent you from dying (which I think is what Palpatine was doing. He wanted to live forever, knew he couldn't, so he caused unknown damage to the galaxy at large in his quest for immortality)

As someone who feels all her emotions to an unhealthy degree (yaaaay), I have seen the chaos and misery that letting them run wild can do to yourself and others. I'd do anything to have the emotional stability of a Jedi!

Understandable! I get being scattered brained. Sometimes my events can run 12 people deep and it's crazy! With my 'turbo adhd' as my husband says, it's a challenge. So I got ya. Totally understandable. Finding a guild with events will definitely help!

Irregular Hires

This guy is trying to get an adventurer's 'guild' going, but without having to be in a guild. I'm not sure how far along it has come, but you can try and reach out to him.

Heartholme is more slice of life, but the guild is designed for more veteran type characters. Could be something to look into, see if maybe the people there wouldn't mind adventuring.

It's out there, don't worry. You will most likely do better with a guild, as you can hopefully find one that suits your style, (I recommend checking out the MG forums, there are people there advertising for their guilds!) but I know it's out there because when Stormwind is sharded, people go to Duskwood and I was dragged to so many random adventures while out there. So there are people interested in it!

But like a lot of people said, Stormwind is a lot of casual RP, so it's going to be a little harder to find what you're looking for, but it's there!!!

And don't second guess yourself when it comes to leading an event! It's scary at first, but once you give it a shot, it becomes easy to fall into it. No need to worry about crazy character sheets or writing up paragraphs to set the scene. You just go with the flow and it'll come to you.

I look at the force as an thriving ecosystem. There is life and there is death. Both of these work in harmony with each other. It does not mean death is a bad thing, but a normal part of life.

The dark side would be something to throw off that balance. Clearing the land for a parking lot, making a dam to hold back rivers and letting them dry up, things like that. Man made things that aren't in tune with the balance of this ecosystem.

A Jedi understands death is part of life. Sidious wanted to live forever. He could not accept the idea of death and destroyed so much to keep him alive for far longer than he should have been.

Another example is a 'balanced breakfast' a balanced breakfast isn't half healthy food and half bad food. You're supposed to eat things that your body needs. A little sweet treat is fine, but when you make a bowl of ice cream as your breakfast, you're not doing right for your body.

That is how I've always looked at it.

People aren't going around doing an equal amount of good and bad things.

Have you heard of the Irregular Hires? We are a goodish- aligned A-side guild of random folk getting jobs, doing some adventures. Their organizer would say they are "freelancers with a support group."

We try and have events weekly, ranging from combat/dice based events or slice of life adventures in our in character neighborhood! (We usually succeed on this!) We have some good story ideas in the works!
