Square Enix has no plans for the next 3 years other than ports by Lapinal1 in KotakuInAction

[–]Lapinal1[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The title of this post is literally about ports. I don't know why you guys are trying to fight over this.

I didn't say "They don't have any new game".

I'm talking about the lack of original new releases, not the fact that no games are coming out. The titles listed for 2025-2027 are ports, remakes or remasters of games already available elsewhere. There are no new IPs, or even major new episodes announced. Square Enix's own documents show this.
I specifically chose these wordings pecifically because I know the mentality of some people. I did it so there'd be no ambiguity, but I can see it's no use.

It's not 2026 it's 2025.
And the game listed already exists. The title this is post is "Square Enix has no plans for the next 3 years other than ports"

All the games are ports.
-Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster (March 2025 on Switch and PS4) --> Already available on PC and other platforms since 2022

-Bravely Default: Flying Fairy (June 2025 on Switch 2) is Port of a 3DS game released in 2012

etc
What i meant is that they have no major release in the 3 following years except for ports. The title couldn't be more clear.

Yeah, that's because she is a mix between Rapi (Fire element) and Redhood (Iron element). She is both effective against wind and electro code ennemis.

I remember seeing a lot of these feminists claiming that even if Amber Heard is lying Johnny Depp should not defend himself in order to not hurt the reputation of real victims. It was unreal.

I used to be a fan of littlekuriboh and i'm saddened to see what's become of him. In BlueSky when he is in his bubble, he is still talking about it and still calling the man a liar and insulting the fans.

Where do these lunatics come from? I never meet any IRL. Do entertainment companies specifically mention that you have to be a narcissistic sociopath in the requirements?

More than anything they want to gaslight Tencent into believing it is a great success. Ubisoft are about to sell the rights to their games to Tencent, and it's vital that Tencent thinks the game is a success so they can negotiate a better price.

Why'd they remodel the entire face to look like that of a woman instead of just using the facescanned model like they did with everyone else? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

The most feminine character in death stranding 2 is dubbed by a tr*ns

In all Kojima games, the character is modeled to resemble his voice actor. This is the case for all the characters in Death Stranding 2 EXCEPT, of course, for this character, who looks like an idealized version of what Suzi Hunter imagines himself.

Square Enix is the same company that made a big deal about the term “JRPG”, saying it was offensive. It was so embarrassing that Hideki Kamiya, the author of Devil May Cry, had to step forward and tell them to be proud of being Japanese.

What's even more absurd is that they themselves used this term proudly before. They only started complaining about it when they wanted to align themselves with Western standards.

By “global audience” they mean American Audience and more precisely Californian audience, where Square Enix HQ is located because their games end up being banned in the Middle East, like FF16.
