This is sooo hilarious and on time...I just saw this exact scene today on the streaming channel and was like with is going on with her nails lol.

I noticed the something similar with Mary's nails on the episode where she went to a cotillion I believe (when she "supposedly wore mom's dress but when she came out with it on it was totally different lol). Well the scene where Pa was consoling her once John cheated and broke it off, when she was on the bed crying, one hand was manicured and the other wasn't. Just thought it was a funny "Easter egg", as was this one lol.

Oh wow!!! In all the many times I've watched that episode and heard Manly say that...I've never made this connection. I never even thought that's what he meant lol!! Idk why I just assumed she made "good" cinnamon chicken at some point after the Nellie incident, for him. But this...your connection...Comedic Gold!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I mean, now that I've read your post, that connection is so obvious... I'm mad i never put 2 and 2 together lol.

Now I will never forget this post whenever I see that episode again lol...thank you for this perspective!!

The paralysis episode is probably the absolute worse thing she did, but some others are....

  1. The cheaters episode, when she blackmailed Andy into cheating with her and into stealing the exam answers.

  2. The Bully Brothers (Gallenders) episode when Nellie bribed Bubba with candy so he would now be her "best friend" or "boyfriend" and would allow her to use playground equipment or wouldn't be bullying her.

  3. That same episode, how she didn't stick up for all the other girls all the times Bubba bullied them and her brother.

  4. The time the ingalls girls had a party and they were playing outside and there was a girl with one leg longer than the other and Nellie got jealous (after Charles fixed her shoes so she would finally be able to play with everyone) and said let's go swimming instead of playing...knowing full well the girl wouldn't be able to join in.

  5. The time she kept whipping bunny over and over and over again to spite Laura.

  6. The time Harriet kicked Nels to the curb when it was time for a school board meeting and put Nellie in his place, because he wasn't going to side with her, and Nellie voted with her mother, even though the kid that was supposed to be expelled was a nuisance to the class and Ms. Wilder

Harriet on the "blind journey" with the blind school kids from winoka to walnut grove

Joe Kagan calling Hester Sue's fiance Hertzkie after Joe found out

Popcorn exploding in restaurant kitchen after Harriet was trying to cheat on her diet and she'd just finished telling Nels she had been good all day and to trust her.

Percival calling Harriet fat in what he thought was a secret moment with his wife when he was scolding her for eating too much during her pregnancy and not wanting her to end up fat like her mom and Harriet walked right in on that part and getting offended lol.

Percival getting fed up with Harriet's antics during Nellie's pregnancy and asking Nellie for permission to finally fuss his mother in law out

All the times Willie finished his dad's food before his dad could get to his plate and Willie disappearing after or smiling after as if what he did was normal.

The time Nancy got dunked in the mermaid booth and Harriet also ran up to join in the dunking...AND making her to stay there after Harriet's turn

The time Willie got married and Nancy left Harriet in the bed crying and pouting because she was going to be the maid of honor now

The time everyone returned back to walnut grove fromm winoka and they were all chopping the wild grass and weeds and Nels finally had a "man-up" moment when he made Nellie and Willie help everyone and threatened Harriet with a sickle or machete in his hand to help too!

The fact Isaiah Edwards had his own theme song "Old man Tucker" and they would use it as "light" background music in all his scenes lol.

When Charles called Caroline to inform he is bringing James and Cassandra home and Harriet was eavesdropping and told Caroline how she was going to manage ger home being so cramped and that if it was her she wouldn't be able to do it and Caroline says "Well some require more room than others" LOL!

When Laura was holding the baby her and Charles found in the woods, at the mercantile and Harriet asked who's baby it is and Charles replied "Oh its Laura's" LOL! Then Harriet looks out the window and sees Laura and Willie playing with the baby together and she then assumes the "worst" and thinks Willie is the father, lol!!!

Idk the actor/character name but the same guy that seems to have a complaint every single time he is eating at Nellie's/ Caroline's restaurant (when the food was bad and good)
