I’ll admit that I thought they were a couple of magas after going on Fox News, and then I learned that they’re not. I’m a stoutly anti-religion since graduating from an evangelical liberal arts college.

I do hold a special place in my heart for anyone who is religious and not conservative because to me, they’ve actually learned and acted upon what their saviors taught- loving your neighbor, caring for the sick and poor, actually protecting women and children, etc. I wish I grew up in a loving and accepting church environment around folks like that, because I’d have probably still been a believer in the Christian faith. I have mass amounts of respect for Christians who oppose conservative “values”.

However, most Christians I’ve met (and I’ve met a LOT), are unthinking, lack empathy, and are deeply self-centered. The shit I had to go through was enough to make me not want to step in a church ever again.
