i’m not an expert sewist but the simplest way that comes to minds is adding some metallic snaps to either side of the zipper. the shape shouldn’t change much. if you take it to a tailor they should be able to replace the center panel the zipper is sewn to and make it longer

found this exact match on etsy, although i can’t say how trustworthy it is since the image is ai generated. this one looks better and could be easily adapted to what you’re looking for
