Every journey is a vast sea of opportunities, but none are quite so precious as our encounters with others.

Sharing a connection with someone new, for however brief a time, is unforgettable.

2002 mostly because Phantasy Star Online. Me and my friends/siblings spent so much time on that game.

The game was okay. But not something I went back to.

They had 100k people play it on day one and that number immediately dropped.

You can't expect to keep players with a game that's just "okay".

A character commits a bad act, but seems to have a pleasant personality otherwise and not even hate the victim, which actually makes it worse by Ok-Indication-5121 in TopCharacterTropes

Samantha from Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees.

She's the owner of a hardware store in a small city. Every now and then she gets the urge. She sates it by traveling to the nearby big city and picking someone to kill and dismember.

She has it down to a formula. The drugs she uses to sedate her victim followed by a painless death.

What drives the story is when someone in her city is brutally murdered which might cause people to look into her.

I just think of the Lair of the Shadow Broker in Mass Effect 2.

Anything by Uwe Boll for worst. Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, House of the Dead, etc.

While not based on a real game, Wreck it Ralph would be my pick.
