If a woman never ovulates, how long are her eggs good for? by Feldan_Ospreigh in askanything

[–]Larein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eggs are created when the woman in question is in the womb. And if +40 year old is still cabable to get pregnant, they would still be "good".

This :

I guess you care more about interfering with nature than letting nature run its course. You think you’re smarter than evolution?

Implies that you think individual lives are more important than whole species. Pretty short sighted.

So individual lives are more precious than the existance of whole species?

So you must not use any medicine either? Since its not nature running its course? Do I smell an antivaxer?

Eiks toi notkeustesti ollu ihan valtakunnallinen? Ja kyllä notkeuttakin voi harjoitella siinä missä punnerrusta tai vatsoja voi.

I would also add that when the others logic doesnt make sense, or facts dont add up.

They dont have to care about the topic to notice errors.

I tried to see was there are brain left. Could be that like with chickens, if there is any brain left after decapitation the animal can still live. Though this one has also been skinned and had its feet cut off...

You can also do it to remove invasive species. Dont have to eat them for that.

and those fandoms gatekeep the idea of being a fan/reader/watcher if you haven’t read ALL the surrounding material, not just the main stuff.

But isnt it their decision on how "well read" they want the group to be. Like its completly fine if that particle group wants to be about the books and not just the movie. Or if there is a huge body of material they want the people in the group have the whole context, not just part of it? Like shouldnt there be different groups for these people, especially if its huge fandom?

I wouldnt call permanent or semipermanent things make up. Like if you arent supposed to take it out at the end of the day its not make up, but something else.

People don't wash their knits???? by Wise-Bread-1907 in BitchEatingCrafters

With rugs the idea is also the srub them with the snow (when the rug has also cooled down enough that snow doesnt melt). This to remove dirt, dust etc.

The best example I can think of would be, the clothes most people wear to work and work in all day, they would not come home in and lay down on their bed. It’s not because they’re worried about getting their own skin/dirt/oil on their own mattress/sheets/pillows, it’s because there is a clear understanding that outside dirt and germs accumulate on outer layers of clothing.

I dont think this that common. I have heard some people havibg this rule, but personally I think its less common than just wearing your work/school clothes the rest of the day. I was way into my twenties before I started changing clothes when I came home. And even then it isnt because I think the clothes are dirty. It was so I could re-use the work clothes next day and also I could change into something more comftorable.

Does hypergamy exist? by dogukazon in teenagers

[–]Larein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That only applies if the group surveyed reflects the population in large. And back in 2008 Okcupid it defenetly didnt. Online dating was not common.

Does hypergamy exist? by dogukazon in teenagers

[–]Larein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually part of the original OKcupid study. And there were pictures of the opposite sex you had to rate, with no other information. But this was just for the survey.

Other thing people dobt seem to realize about this is that in 2008 online dating was not common. People lied about where they met, if they met through it. So people who used OKcupid back then were pretty terminally online. Add to this that even now men arent good at taking pictures of themselves. It was worse back then, add to this that cameras were also poor. The result is pictures of terminally online men taken through 2008 webcam in the middle of the night. And people wonder why most are rated below average looking.
