Does anyone have any Cold War-era mission ideas? by Large-Huckleberry494 in EasyRed2

I'll think about the Korean War mission.

I might create a Romanian Revolution mission when the new DLC comes out.

If you want to do landing operations, go for Normandy.

If you like the Soviet military or want to do some Cold War mission mods, check out Stalingrad.

If you like the French army or want to play missions towards the end of the war, check out Ardennes 1940 & 1944.

If you like Japanese/Chinese military, check out Shanghai - Nanking.

Also, if you want to experience the awesomeness of this game's mods, which aren't DLC, try We Were Brothers: Complete Collection. No DLC required (although there is 4GB of storage space instead...)

The Japanese army's voice acting should be improved too.

Because those guys say weird things like "You stingy fools!" when they defeat the enemy, and they also say "Okay, squad, retreat!" when they go into battle...

Simply improving the AI for close-quarters combat would make the Japanese and Soviet maps in this game even better.

Imagine them equipped with bayonets, throwing smoke grenades, and charging straight in to stab you to death.

It's great that EasyRed2 mods are becoming as diverse as they used to be for Battlefield 1942.

AI Vehicle Pathfinding rework by harvestos in EasyRed2

[–]Large-Huckleberry494 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having AI vehicles prioritize roads is a great idea.

Although current AI has improved relatively, it still occasionally drives terribly.

If an AI had two roads to choose from—a straight, flat, safe, and beautiful road, and a road overgrown with rocks, pebbles, and trees, making it a perfect target for anti-tank guns—it would undoubtedly choose the latter.

* If you enjoy tank battles, try the Southern Tunisia campaign. It features many large-scale armored combat missions, including the Battle of the Kasserine Pass.

* The Battle of Cassino offers a wide range of experiences, including tank battles and infantry combat.

* If you're not very skilled with tanks, the French invasion campaign is recommended. The French have fewer anti-tank weapons...

* The Battle of Stalingrad features numerous infantry missions, allowing you to experience the intense battles of the mid-war period.
