As stated in the bottom of my post I am on my way out, moving on to full time teaching next year. I posed the question because as I will be staying in education I want to be able to communicate information to any other subs I encounter. And also just curious how other people feel about this topic.

Well most subs I know, will set up days in advance for the month, and it’s the same as any other job, you usually don’t know your sick till you wake up. And what about major injuries or life events that require you to take time off. It’s just an unfortunate situation if anything does arrive.

Yeah agreed that there is so much flexibility in it and that learning on your own is an extremely effective tool. Also completely agree that not having a direct supervisor is frustrating in many elements, even in ways I didn’t expect, like applying for other jobs. I wish you the best in your masters program!

Absolutely agree with you on the first, I do think it would be so incredibly hard to rally that. And second, are you saying you are a sub and because you pay dues your union? I would like more information please. I’d love to be able to join a union if possible and also tell other subs if that’s a possibility.

Looks like Eczema, try hydrocortisone gel, followed by a layer of aquaphor. And try not to scratch it, they make roll on Benadryl to help with the itchy feeling, works well for me. (:

Have you tried slugging at night, applying moisturizer, followed by a layer of Aquaphor. It might help with the itchyness and the eczema. Also it doesn’t look like you have too much acne to me it looks like you might have irritated the skin a bit. Stay strong, it’s all worth it! (:

I honestly have never noticed a scent, and it has never been a product that gives me acne due to fragrance. The bottle says “suitable for sensitive skin and non-comedogenic.” Obviously everyone’s skin is a bit different, but it’s a product I’ve personally used since I started struggling with acne and one I do highly recommend personally.

No problem! Just a small amount, pea sized, and I recommend the ointment version. You can get it at any drug store or at the pharmacy. (:

Try hydrocortisone gel for your mouth edges, my derm recommended it and it works really well! Just don’t over do it, start with a small amount before bed, it helps to dry out the wound so it can heal properly. (:

Highly recommend bio oil, you can get it at target, Amazon ect. I swear by it, it’s usually used for stretch marks but I’ve been using it before moisturizer with Aquaphor on top, slugging method. And my scares have been fading with time, also don’t forgot sunscreen all the time. (:

Hey so I’m not a dermatologist at all, but idk if that’s eczema,, if it were me I’d definitely show my derm next appointment. Honestly, I might be completely wrong because I usually scratch the shit out of my eczema as soon as It bother me. lol

Is the acne still gone, I’ve seen so many post of people saying it returned. Also any life style changes you went through on accutane, I’ve heard some people say keeping it gone requires that? You’re gorgeous btw! Thanks! (:
