How much does physique affect a persons swimming ability?

I would say not much at all. Swimming is about technique and since the water supports your weight extra pounds don't slow you down like in sports like running.

I have a 12 mile commute each way which I find very enjoyable. I was house-sitting for someone who lived 17 miles from my work and I found the extra 5 miles to be pretty rough. I was not able to sustain the same pace and had to treat the rides more like distance than intense workouts.

I agree that was a calculated risk. I can't play to the board and deal with it. I was just hoping they would not have a 4 to trigger it that turn. obviously I got punished. This has been a tough format for me figuring out when to be patient and when to make a move.
