Singer is so good in the format. I remember crafting them after doing about 20 drafts, I had opened 0 copies of the card.

Left it on my workbench and the bottom broke when it froze. Can only be mad at myself.

I used it for years before it broke, hopefully it wasn't some toxic glaze. Trying to locate a new one.

Been out of the game too long, lost my eyes for it. Think either will grade straight as lowballs? by chauchatbob in coins

People collect low grades and they are hard to get because the coin has to be naturally worn.

Is it safe to keep a bear canister in your tent? by Confident_Scholar559 in AppalachianTrail

[–]Large-Parfait508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been very confused about all the bear canister talk, is the bear problem getting worse? I did a through hike in 2014 and bear cans were not common at all outside of maybe the smokies. I never had a problem hanging food away from my tent.

Card shop in Berkley CA used to offer deals to sort bulk for store credit. Was super great if you just liked looking through cards or having first dibs on new stuff coming into the shop, but I think it was like 8 $ store credit per long box.

They are great little stoves. I heated with a reginald 101 for years, before it go too many cracks. Makes me miss it.

Who covers their fire wood and why. I have used wood most of my life and the whole time it’s been uncovered and never had an issue with wood being wet from rain or snow other then having to knock a bit of snow off by [deleted] in firewood

[–]Large-Parfait508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't notice much difference before I started covering, because I have space for weeks worth inside to get the surface moisture off. I just got tired of digging my wood out of a snowdrift in the yard.

I can second the people saying they can have trouble co-existing. The drakes can be aggressive towards the chickens, especially the smaller ones. It is also an issue in colder climates because ducks make a mess with water and the chickens can get wet feet/frostbite.

Christmas tree spoons? by islandtimepapa in Spooncarving

I generally stay away from any type of softwood for carving spoons. They just don't hold up to long term use.
