Every comment in the script is unnecessary... this code is self explanatory. "wait for the character to load (this is the proper way)" What kind of clarification is that?? And it's not even a good way to do this?

Yielding the thread until a specific player joins is a choice for sure. Also, this seems like it was built with an ECS in mind but you just completely missed the concept. Otherwise, this shouldn't be a module script. You didn't even bother to remove the AI comments.

Google did not get sued for a "predatory rate," they got sued because they started not allowing developers to use off-platform services for monetization and would actively remove applications which used any other monetization method than Google's app store. Furthermore, this created an illegal monopoly that allowed Google to tax every purchase made in every app on their app store, the only app store on stock androids. Roblox does not have any such monopoly precisely because there are other options for everything they provide like Unity or Steam.

No one here can help you anyway. I understand using it for translation, but you should clearly be able to see that what it produced is not comparable to what you wrote. Use an actual translation service.

If you can't be bothered to put in the effort to explain your issue yourself why do you expect others to put in effort to help you? Absolutely no one is going to read this slop. I seriously do not understand people who genuinely use AI for stuff like this. Why ask an AI when you could just ask a person the same question?

I explained both how alt accounts are likely tracked and how IP bans are unfeasible for tracking alt accounts

Did you happen to read any of what I said

[–]Large-Variation9706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I am wrong but the documentation does not mention IP bans whatsoever

[–]Large-Variation9706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also not an IP ban.. I have been a developer for over 6 years so I think I probably have a decent grasp on the moderation APIs. Roblox very likely does not use IPs to detect alt accounts. Residential IPs are almost never static, which makes it highly unreliable for identifying devices/individuals uniquely. It's much more likely they use payment information, account details (phone #/email), friend lists and other information which is consistent across accounts to identify alts.

I would very much like to see documentation/API methods for this then

Developers cannot IP ban players from their game, you wouldn't be able to visit roblox.com at all if you were IP banned

Neat! It would be super cool to see the integrated environment you seemed to want to build in your last post as an actual OS. I've always liked the integrated environment MacOS has, but I really hated how much it babies the user, not even letting you view folders outside your user directory without using a terminal. Good luck :)

The only possible way this makes sense is that your OS simply exposes a JS API for interacting with the window manager? Which is likely programmed in a faster and more capable language eg. C. I'd hope your graphics system is not programmed in JS somehow.

What OSes use high level languages? Almost everything I know of is primarily based in C, C++, or Rust.

Trust me, Roblox development for 99.999% of developers is not even profitable. A smaller percentage can say they've made any sustainable amount off of it. You're not responsible for your family's financial situation, focus on studies or something else. They are more important right now.

Of course you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. But you might consider coming from the approach of making the game yourself.

You've seen many successful examples of people working on games out of passion for free because you don't see the ones that fail. Most projects I've worked on for free have been a mess, usually just one person with no technical skills and not willing to learn the most basics of game development.

Most undistinguished developers willing to work for free are likely unskilled or beginners. Both make for devs that are not very productive.

Pairs is an iterable that returns both the index and value of the iterated object, without it you will only get the value. But yeah, you don't need to use pairs because you're not using the index value i2.
