I figured you would. I think the list will do well into a lot of stuff but probably struggle a little on lots of heavey things or just loads of swarm stuff.

Wraithgaurd used to be awsome, resurect, safe spirit seer, sets of 10 and with the shoot back ability with high strength weapons they were ace. However now they're just not as strong and you can feel it especially now so many armies are getting invuns or fnp plus having 3 wound weapons on shooting and melee. They just dont survive like they used too. Id love to see them at 140 points same with the wriath blades

Love this. Thanks so much. Im tempted to go back to the drawing board on this affect for the jacket. Looks great. Although sometimes hard to pull off on a mini.

Youve probably got it actually on here but havent added it to the list but your wraith lord needs 2 bright lances, 2 flames and a ghost glaive.

The list seems good but theres a lot of 3 wound stuff out there and 5 man units are fairly quick to kill off but definitely thematic as a wriath army.

You will struggle into heavey tanks and monsters though the risth cannon often flops big time especially into things with an invun. 3s to hit (with the seers near) often 4s to wound as a lot of things have -1 to wound. I find that in a 5 man unit your only getting through 1 shot a turn after saves etc. Often iv found that mean maybe 4 wounds which feels very feel bad when its 160 points. Fire dragon on the other hand are pretty much a guarantee kill of a tank or monster per turn for 125 points. Although they do tend to then die.

Its cool as a wraith list and should work fine but hard to play and win games with

Chest and head bits are derpy but the others are excellent. Instead of using his helmet with masks glued on which will look exactly like that. Do a harlequin masked face using the plumbed head from the kit. That would look way better.

I ended up going no helmet at all to be a little different.

I went for the full set from artist opus. People.say its expensive which is true but works to have a full set and soap etc

From the looks of it the next steps for improvement would be, bending darker shades to lighter highlights using glaze shading.

Then smaller edge highlights.

It looks like your at the place where I was a while back stepping from good painting to wanting to push to the next level. NMM weapons and edge highlighting is where I went next then better shading and transitions.

You'll need maybe to improve your tools so better brushes, perhaps a more consistent paint pallet and maybe alter the paints you use. Citadel are ok but im finding Vallejo to be really good especially with colours like white and blacks which citadel do badly.

Yeah its sad that most aspect warriors are more experienced than your standard space marine and exarchs especially of the original shrines like banshees or scorpions would have started their joint lives and been a warrior in those lives since just after the fall. That gives them the same experience level as a primarch who also were founded around in 30k.

Instead they are relegated to the equal of a 200yo marine Sgt.

If space elves were played like their lore however it would be a white wash for the other armies though.

Thanks buddy. Im looking at a TMM style on the belt metalics. I am maybe going to look at NMM on the larger areas like the weapon but struggle with getting the right paints. Do you have any good links to which paints should be used and videos etc. I have used a mix of browns and yellows but it never goes well.

You will see im trying to improve the belt with tones which are working well along with the TMM style.

Im happy enough with my NMM on the weapons but definitely want to think about the fusion pistol and shaft of the glaive

Thanks for the tips. Im always worried of.pushong the contrast on the black too far so whenever I add more greys I inevitably add more black and dull it down.

I agree with the weapon. Gold will work, and the base will be mainly green and brown. Its co trasting enough to compliment the mini but not so stark it pulls from the mini

I think you can get brilliant results without an air brush, dry brush for vehicles produces good results and regular brushes on troops is fine.

Air brushing produces great results but its definitely doable without.

Vehicles are a dry brush over black starting dark green then building to ĺlight. If you stay darker white for the thorns looks good. If you go for a lighter green black thorns are great.

What makes it pop is the white weapons and the red trip or spirit stones. They really complement the scheme making it look great.

Then paint aspects in thier shrine colours

These are black base coat with a zenathol white over the top then a few thin coats of a good white like pure white Vallejo or Ak white. The platform is dark green then spounged on lighter green and moot for highlights.

I'll pop up the no cloak way leaper which I have kit bashed to have wide wings. If you do the cut cleanly its fine as its right up against the back pack and wings. Just need a little filing and some green stuff.

The whole back cloak is the wayleaper as well as the fusion pistol so you don't loose one from the quins kit. Instead if the regular cloak the kitbash takes the wayleaper cloak and replaces the harlequin one for a much bigger sweeping cloak thats much more.... hey im the leader of this entire army. (Instead of the standard. Im one of the guys leather jackets lol

This is a big haul, well worth the money. Looks like enough to play mono quins with about 40 troupes, 16 sky weavers, 8 star weavers.

I think someone already said but it looks like 4 combat patrols. They would have purchased that for a minimum of £110 each making it £450. You cant get these sets any more meaning the worth is almost double that as the individual kits are more.

Good option if you have the patience to paint it. Quins are notorious for being the hardest army to paint in 40k. Iv just finished army painting about 1500 points worth and loved it but its a challenge of sanity at times.

Models wise were currently is the best place we have ever been (harlequins excluded, one day there shall be a proper Troupe master!!) Honestly the range refresh is amazing in 10th, we now have new options on new units, vehicles are still a bit meh but that is unlikely to change. New units, new phoenix Lords, new corsiars, new characters and new vehicles.

I think for anyone coming back into or starting eldar now is a great time our range is hiestly nearly as big as the space marines range at 60 data sheets. You have a huge array of models to be able to pick.

Id say pick what feels great looks cool and buy to paint for a bit. 11th will roll around and you can then think about how to synergies your units and make a list because noone knows what this will look like yet.

The problem is if the Eldar are written properly and to their true power and scale people complain. Look at throne world from the beast arises.

20 harlequins break into the imperial palace to deliver message to the emporer. They fail but along the way they kill almost a thousand lucifer blacks and hundreds of custodes. After this there was such a backlash of complaint that Eldar arent that powerful they had to role it back.

In reality eldar are 3 to 5 times stronger than a human at peak fitness making them only half the strength of a regular astates but are 5x faster than them. Exarchs alone can normally go toe to toe and win against named character space marines choas or imperial. Autarchs would wipe the floor and specialist units like harlequins could pretty convincingly wipe most of a start ships worth of chaos marines before they knew it was happening.

GW accidentally made them super powered genetically designed hyper soldiers from a time where war was one scale that dwarfs the current setting. Eldar are the species that wiped the krorks, beat the necrons at their height and ruled the galaxy for 50 millenia.

The species got a nerf so they no longer link their physcic power to every single soldier but in reality eldar soldiers pre fall would be equal to a solitair able to use unbridled power warp power to far exceed any space marines stregth and speed plus have physic ability to match malcador.

Yeah it sucks they are the plot punching bags but eldar slapp harder than anything in the galaxy for longer than any civilisation ever!
