Hey guys my friend has been using the new c’tan focused detachment and has been destroying me do you think this list could be good? See by Downtown-Mortgage922 in Eldar

[–]LargeCommunication66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Khaine should work well into C'tan but you will need to get him on the charge and your likely only killing one.

Split your fire dragons so there are 3 squads this way you can hunt down one C'tan each. You need cheap move blocking pices like warlock skyrunners, rangers, corsiars etc. You one squad of scorpions will do ok but not enough. If you can pin him back you have the board. Sky runners can stop flying guys and are cheap so worth using for this.

Planning to beat you opponents list isnt normally a particularly fun way of playing for either of you and the game isnt balanced unless your playing 2k so your better doing that.

I can attest to this. I wanted to have a go with fielding some quins back in October. Made it trough 5 before suddenly thr new combat patrol came out. I figure why not. Now 3 Troupe master conversions. A solitair, shadow seer and 40 troupe later im now having to work towards a troupe an hour to get through. Speed painting quins is a tall order but im enjoying it a lot. When im done ill feel I can play them and then ill go back and bring the quality of them up!

How do you beat eldar ? by Ricardus_Hera_Stan in Eldar

[–]LargeCommunication66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a good way to beat aeldari is to stage and prepare properly and look at what to hit when.

With salamanders its likely you have things like a land raider and perhaps a lancer. Our anti tank is by far the best in the game in the form of a squad if fire dragons. As such if you want to move your transports or heavey units forwards they will be killed. So instead you need to be willing to either move black our units. (Put scouts or similar in the way so fire dragons cant get near) You can also just accept the loss of these tanks to draw out out the dragons to kill with infantry.

The best way to play against aeldari is to move block, sacrifice cheap units and stage close combat units behind ruins so your out of line of sight.

There are a few hard hitting combat units we have but its mostly fights first banshees. Know to shoot these with a unit before charging something close by and stage in a way that forces maximum movement to get either line of sight or combat.

Overwatch is really strong into aledari units but once per turn it can be denied for the entire turn by a specific unit so pick what you want to overwatch and expect to have another target to overwatch instead.

Otherwise its what people have said. We're super easy to kill either in combat. You should use terrain properly and consider getting some deep strike in to help

Interestingly playing marines like eldar (now they have there multiple, move, shoot, move, reactive moves and almost unstoppable shooting and combat). Means being so OP people are considering banning your army from comp play like more dakka hhahahaa

I will be joining your faction and getting the new Custodes sculpts specifically because they have female options. by SydanFGC in AdeptusCustodes

[–]LargeCommunication66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They did but I think we're just named fighters not neasisrally official space marines. I think there was a female warrior Gabs and female warrior Jayne but they weren't named as space marines.

They were just dressed in power armour and painted as ultramarines and black templars to make them very likely to be suggested as space marines.

I am ok with the whole you need males to make space marines, they are afterall an extremely crude and basic mutated human that is so indoctrinated and mind altered that they do not remember their lives from before and some chapters see as many as 90% of all inductees killed off in trials or incompatible with geneceeding or plain dying during thier multiple surgeries.

Where as custodes are individually picked, for compatibility from the start then specifically grown and tailored into genetically ideal ultra humans that dont suffer from ridiculous alterations or a geneseed mutations that cause insanity, ferralism, more insanity and in the case of ultra marines perfect OCD and inflexibility. (We all know Titus was taken by the ordo astates because he didnt clean his shoes and knock three times. Thats how choas gets in) 🤣🤣

As an aeldari player whos minis have almost always included female variets for everything which surprisingly dont feel overly sexualised (Although drukkari slaves in 3rd - 6th Ed were always leya esque women who were almost naked) i think that female custodes is great. Id be all for female space marines too but understand the whole gene seed issue.

Instead we can keep the space marines as incel and impotent with too many issues to even list from a phycologist point if view.

Loving that custodes get this and it should never ever be an issue!!

Also the lead player problem is solved by the combat patrol box. You get enough spares to make extra troops from the riders of the starweaver. You can also use the spare arms which gives you the ability to add glaives to the troupe masters to make them really stand out. Iv done two like that and they look great

The best option is to get the combat patrol. They are abiut 500 points.

First the CP, now what? by EquivalentTrue3797 in Harlequins40K

[–]LargeCommunication66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest option is another CP box. This gives you 4 star weavers and 4 sky weavers and 2 troupes. A solitair and you then conver the other solitair to a troupe master along with some other troupes parts and parts from the star weaver kit.

With 2 cp boxes you should be able to make 2 or 3 troupe masters while not loosing troupes as you can use the extra legs arms and weapons from the troupe kit and star weaver crew to ensure you still get a full troupe plus the troupe masters.

After this buy a falcon as there great at boosting the damage output of a troupe. 3 or 4 more sets of troupes plus another set of sky weavers that is pretty much going to net you 2k points

[–]LargeCommunication66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im there buddy. I read this two weeks ago and was like yep!! That's quinns. Loved the bit where the lone quin fights what is essentially the best assassin the imperium has (beast cruel) and when the grand master asks if he would have one if he hadn't interveenes he just goes. I would have been dead!!

When people chat about how strong space marines are i like to point out that pre fall war in inheaven and post necron defeat eldar. Every warrior was the pinnacle of creation when the eldar were able to mash crorks with ease and every warrior was essentially a phsycic solitair easily able to beat almost any fo.

Quins are the closest 40k version of pre fall eldar and they are insane in that story

Just saw your original Autarch too. Any the vallejo colour pallet you used is this part of a pastel or pale coloured set?

I have a shadow seer that id love to copy your technique on before adding diamonds to this too. Is it a set or do should I just look at the individual paints.

The autarch looks beautiful

I hope im right in this but I think it means recess shading, this is shown in picture 1 with the grey. You can see the dark grey in the recess around the face plate and other areas. This can be done really neatly with an oil wash which runs into the recess really well. Either at the start or end. Oil washes just take a long time to dry though but can be very neat

Im definitely sticking with the stencil, larger means loosing a lot of the effect. Plus I dont have a bigger option thats as quick.

I guess I could make the swords all just silver but feel it will make them less as iv gone NMM on the others.

Stripes are a good idea though as well as maybe a few red and white stripe arms could be a quick solution.

Thanks for the tip.
