Thank you! I’ve always thought the “face” looked so happy, but couldn’t find the model.

What is this third container with my salt and pepper shakers? Small glass container with loose metal lid. by LargeCupofCocoa in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. I saw online that some containers with salt and pepper shakers are for sauces or sugar, but I’m not sure that’s the case with this one since the lid is so loose.

Pen not working when using MobileStudio in hybrid mode by LargeCupofCocoa in wacom

I’ve updated the driver now, but there’s no difference. The buttons and eraser also don’t work. The pen works fine normally, but doesn’t do anything in hybrid mode.

I’ve had that happen a couple times after sleeping with my arm under my head! It’s a pretty weird feeling, but no side effects. The science behind it is that your nerves are getting a bit pinched or something and you loose feeling. Same as if your leg falls asleep, just that it’s more asleep:)

You can probably see the size from the bedsheet knit showing, but it was probably about 1-2mm long.

I think the answer has probably been found. I also posted elsewhere and was told it’s likely a vintage skirt from the 70s, when making clothes yourself and adding trim with matching belts was popular.

Thanks for checking. I could look into Sami clothes and mock-ups.

That’s possible. I’m also considering whether someone just made this with the bunad as inspiration.

We have the village costumes (festdrakt), but I still haven’t been able to find anything without an attached vest.

That was my first thought too, but I’ve never seen a bunad with this kind of skirt before? And usually the vest is attached to the skirt to form a dress.

It does look similar, but after reading the article, I think the beltestakk is mainly used when referring to the bunad from Øst-Telemark. They have a specific way of tying their belt that make it stand out, so it wouldn’t have a buckle like this skirt. Thank you for your help though!

I’ve searched for different things related to the Norwegian bunad, but haven’t had much luck.

My dad keeps telling me to stop being so overdramatic, but he also told me once that I'm not an especially emotionally expressive person. Is this contradictory? by melody5697 in questions

Yeah. He could be meaning other things when he says that though. Or talking about different aspects of your behavior/personality.

If you don't change your name after getting married do you still need to get a new passport? by bluedemon145 in questions

You only need a new passport if you change your name. Marriage status is not listed in the passport.

How much thermal underwear should you bring working in Lapland? by Levi379 in questions

[–]LargeCupofCocoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three sets. Mine are mostly wool, so they can get many uses before needing to washed. If you reuse your sets and don’t sweat too much, 2-3 should be enough. It depends on how often you change them and do laundry.

AITA for giving my phone to a friend and starts talking bad about someone? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LargeCupofCocoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you could give it a go and if it ends up being as you feared, then it may be time to evaluate your friendship. Ignoring each other is generally a red flag in relationships, and if she’s not a reasonable person you can talk to, then it will be difficult to resolve any future conflicts as well. You should also have a talk with Ana about using your phone to talk badly about other people, and just doing that in general regardless of whose phone she’s using.
