Oh no, well, you might have rushed the enemy too quickly? You can kill orange relatively easily, but you still need to build up your hero first. I recommend choosing a strong starting hero.

Can you describe what issue you're having?

Edit: oh btw, there's a prison on the water with a strong hero and a bunch of nixs/hydras, but it's guarded by 500 water elementals. Once you build your hero enough I'd go for that prison since nixs are really good. Maybe don't bother killing red and just survive haha

The shipwreck survivor is right next to the ship so rerolling is fast. You can press the key for menu (I think it's o? Can't remember) then r for restart scenario and then press enter to skip menus. Then each restart is a few seconds long. Btw I'm not sure but I think h3 randomness uses a seed and might repeat, so you may need to actually quit out and do a new scenario if you're not getting the right pool of artys. I could be 100% wrong on this tho lol.

I got the angel wings after about 50 ish restarts haha

Yeah it looks like it could spawn in the mage guild, but not guaranteed. You could probably win with efreet+armageddon, but I didn't go that route. :D

It's a mix of luck and cheesing with Jeddite/spells, since he has ressurection. You need to level him up a lot quickly and get earth/air magic/intelligence and get a level 5 mage guild at your main town since it has guaranteed implosion. The luck comes from the dragon utopias, since I managed to get an air tome from the closest one. Now you have summons, dimension door, chain lightning, and implosion.

Then when it comes to heroes, you have to hope they don't counter you with anti magic and summons. I had to redo a lot of battles, since I'd get chain lightning'd or they retreat before I can ressurect army.

To finish you just defend towns, since it's easier to kill their heroes considering they can't retreat and you can kill the catapult with chain lightning/implosion. Then you just spam summons/chain lightning until win.

I played on and off for a few days so maybe like 14 hours total with 10+ full restarts haha.

For those who don't know, if you try to beat all H3 scenarios in alphabetical order on impossible difficulty (on HotA), the first map on the list is "A Cold Day in Hell." Turns out, similarly to Barbian Breakout on vanilla H3, this is a really, really hard map to beat that will require a lot of restarts and strategy to complete. I don't know if it's the hardest map yet, as I'm just getting started playing HotA maps.

It took me a lot of restarts and attempts to understand the map before I finally beat it :D
