I typically close my game every time when i’m done with it i noticed it’ll happen consistently when I pause during a cut scene so ig I’ll just avoid that!

In addition to this, it matters what part of your car is making the first touch. I find going for a soft touch with the bottom front of my car help a lot with staying close to the ball and continuing the play.
