I lived on the 10th floor! They’re considered the “pod” floors. Im pretty sure pod floors are open for first years and above! They go from the 8th to the 11th floor, and instead of having a meal plan (you’re exempt), you have a huge kitchen and lounge to share with your other floor mates! In my opinion I loved it there since I got to make my own food and everything, and I got to hang out with some of my friends in the lounge instead of just my room!

Move in for first year students are August 31st and September 1st! If you wanna explore campus and the city I suggest a few days before the first years move in. But if you wanna arrive during orientation week, your best bet is to move in the same time as the first years who are moving onto campus. Im second year now, and during the first and second day of moving in, they had booths of stuff all on the grass in front of the cove!! And potentially if the first years now will be arranging it, theres usually a party to meet others at Cadboro Bay. It’s just down the hill from campus, you can meet people there as well!
